Lovely pub run by a lovely couple. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they even looked after our Black Labrador, George, by giving him water and biscuits. The steak and ale pies were really good as were the accompanying fried potatoes. My daughter loved her fish and chips. They even lit the fire for us to make sure we were warm enough. This is a lovely pub that really deserves to do well under it's wonderfully hospitable owners. We will be back!

Fabulous pub, fabulous food and fabulous Landlords! We came here twice during a few nights away in Devon after it being recommended by our hosts at Lower Whitsleigh Farm. Tim, Nat and their daughter made us feel so welcome and were exceptionally accommodating with our 3 young children and two big dogs. The fish and chip night on Friday was a particular treat and, dare I say, was the best fish and chips my husband had ever tasted! The fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked and the atmosphere was wonderfully cozy. We'll definitely be back on our next trip down south-Thank you both so much for a brilliant time :)

Absolute hidden gem, this family run pub is situated in a beautiful village with views of the local church, as soon as you walk in you are welcomed by the owners, a husband and wife that really do make you feel welcome, the food is made fresh by the very talented chef and every course was perfect, the Korean crispy chicken was our highlight, then came the bill which we were taken aback at how cheap it was for such amazing service and food. As I said at the beginning, this is a hidden gem and I hope it is found by many more as beautiful family run pubs like this our sadly dying out. Thank you for a beautiful meal.

Very friendly pub, very tasty food, very dog friendly. We were a party of seven adults with two dogs and we loved it here, shame we only found it at the end of our holiday! We were wondering which cider to order when four glasses of the drinks we were talking about were brought to our table to try. They were happy to alter a couple of dishes to our requirements, and the chef then made another helpful suggestion we were happy to accept. Totally recommend this place, you won't be disappointed. :-)

We arrived at the New Inn at Roborough and the place was empty except for a few locals at the bar. The atmosphere was a little flat. Expectations were not high, but we were wrong. Food was very good. The usual items can be found on the menu but also some Asian options. We tried the Korean Chicken and it was excellent. The pub also filled up after a while.

We made a sentimental visit to Roborough a month or so back (my mother was evacuated to her grandparents there as an infant) and visited The New Inn while there. We were so glad we did! Tim and Nat(?) the owners couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. What really blew us away was the quality of the food, though. Honestly - it was fabulous, well-presented, thoughtfully prepared and *totally delicious.* Thanks to both hosts again - 5 stars across the board from us! P.S. the food etc. was very affordable too, despite the high quality.

Just back from a delicious meal at the New Inn. A warm welcome even though we hadn't booked. We had the Korean Chicken and Salt and Pepper Squid to start, followed by Lasagne and Sea Bass. Flavours were spot on and presentation was excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Wonderful village pub and such lovely owners. We stopped for a delicious lunch, mid-walk. We were really looked after. Locals helped us with our route back via a beautiful forest to Lower Whitsleigh Farm. Our son & daughter loved meeting Tesha, the owners daughter.
