Wow- my first 5 star review! It must be new owners as it is now called the fish cottage. I tried to upload the menu, sorry for the window glare π
super friendly guys, obviously with passion for food as their homemade lemon ailoli is amazing!!! We also had Whitby scampi that were super fresh and haddock which batter was less greasy than in other fish n chips shops. Hence 5 stars and definitely the best fish n chips in the village!
Amazing fish, both cod and haddock were excellent - light batter not that horrible thick stuff and proper chips πππhighly recommended. Not cheap though Β£11 for regular fish and chips which was plenty (see below), Β£13 for large.
Fantastic fish and chips a stones throw from the beach. The curry sauce was the best Iβve ever had, slightly spicy but so yummy!
Beautiful Haddock and chips with batter bits.
Strangely, you can't get batter bits where I live and haven't been able to for years, so getting them with this meal was an added bonus.
Homemade tarter sauce is a must have!!
Genuinely excellent fish and chips.
We arrived here at peak time on a bank holiday weekend, and were able to place our order immediately at the hatch. After a short wait in the sun (shaded areas available as well as a few benches), our order number was called.
Crisp batter & a generous portion of delicious cod. Lovely chips. All this just a stone's throw from the beach. Would rush back here each time I'm in RHB.
This place is now called "Fish Cottage". It only operates a "serving hatch" system.
It's not cheap, but is very good. Service is fairly quick, especially bearing in mind this was a Bank Holiday weekend.
Served quickly, contactless payment, and the fish was lovely in the batter, chips decent as well, they also had some other nice little sea side treats wish I'd looked closer at the menu... During busy times it can get very busy, we went passed a little later and it was heaving. Staff were friendly. Thank you! πππ ππππ¦
Nice layout for ordering with protective screen at the door. There's a waiting spot with a couple of benches outside the shop.
Fish was good and chips are decent.
Absolutely beautiful food, the home made tarta sauce is to die for, I had the seafood basket on the special board and it was outstanding lovely and crispy π π ill definitely be back when I visit again
Some of the best fish & chips I've ever tasted. We had haddock, very light and crispy without any trace of oil and great flavour. The curry sauce was also some of the best. Great service. There was a bowl of water for any passing dogs.
