What an absolute gem. When I first walked in and given the location, I expected it to be overpriced rubbish. It was the complete opposite. Amazing food, great service and great value for money. We had the breakfast barm… delicious.
The views over the reservoir are stunning. Toilets were spotless.
we took our mum here for lunch , it was perfect. there is plenty of seating both inside and outside (there are also cushions for those with skinny bums 😳). The hot and cold sandwiches were lovely and fresh, with a bowl of soup made for a filling lunch .
The place was clean and tidy plus the loos we
Good pub for summer. Has a bowling green & many outdoor seating options. Staff were helpful & beer was not too expensive if you get the ales on tap. Best on a sunny day.
Deservedly in the Good Beer Guide and in such an exquisite location. Torn between taking in the stunning views and the crown green bowling matches. A great place to be when the ☀️ is shining.
Amazing little gem. Absolutely gorgeous place to relax and have a cuppa and I bite to eat.
Lovely views over the reservoir. Good breakfast at ok price.
Our hiking group have called on this fine establishment for years and it gets better year in, year out. I cannot understand some diners knocking in the standard of food? It’s not a Michelin restaurant! The breakfasts are tip-top and ideally priced, staff are lovely and the views are stunning. Worth
This is a really nice place in a very nice setting. With the amount of people there it is a very popular. However it seemed more staff was serving on the bar than the coffee and tea section, not very organised in this area. We would visit again.
It's a really nice place. I've seen it many times enough and wanted to visit but never had a chance. It's quite reasonably priced. They are for ice creams for kids. I didn't look at the food menu but they've got cakes and tea. Really nice views of the dama, especially on a sunny day. Nice beer garde
Lovely tea rooms. Indoor seating or outdoor. Have to sit outdoor if you have a dog. Lots of tables available. Full bar and soft drinks. Coffee and hot chocolate etc. They sell toasted sandwiches , chips , pies , pasties , cakes etc. Prices are reasonable and all the staff are lovely. Also you can
We went to The Rivington with a view over the reservoirs. I had the best beans on toast that I've had in a long time. My friend had an excellent beef and onion bun. The service was excellent. We both chatted with other customers. All in all a great time. I really recommend The Rivington
We were the largest table that evening as well as the establishment being full the staff were great brought the meals great timing and were very attentive to our needs. My only gripe is that's it's a bit out of the way. Never the less I'd probably go again.
Overall would recommend to dine here.
What a view of the reservoir, we had hot turkey and stuffing on a wholemeal roll with coffee. Amazing fresh and tasty. I was surprised how reasonable the price was.
Friendly staff and one of those places you could just sit and watch the world go by. The views from here are stunning you can see across the reservoirs fron the many benchs and seating area.
I sat with my 11 year old Daughter watching some chaps play bowls. Kept us entertained while we had a dri
Absolute gems to deal with from begin to finish. We held the most amazing 60th birthday party here. The staff were so lovely. Location is just beautiful. Thankyou so so much to all xx
Beautiful renovated cafe with amazing beer garden and view on the reservoirs.
Very nice and friendly staff. We only had a few beers but food range looked delicious and we'll deffo try next time when we are around.
Me and my partner have visited several time on doing a walk around the lakes. Every visit we just can't fault the place. All prices are reasonable and certainly a lot cheaper than where we live in South Manchester. We visited this Bank Holiday on Sunday and the weather was glorious. All the food is
