I’ve just visited The Blue Clam since the new owners have taken over , and I can say I wasn’t disappointed the fish was really nice . The chips were really nice and crispy . I found the staff very friendly and chatty . The whole shop looked spotless .They definitely take pride in their hygiene stand
Did a delivery in the village and just spotted this place on the way back to the Motorway to head home down South.
What a lovely chippy, the 2 ladies that served me were so nice and the freshly cooked food was delicious.
Now I know where it is I'll certainly be back on my travels up North.
Wow the fish butty was wonderful. The chips just melted in your mouth and the Irish Curry sauce is lovely. The team are so nice and friendly. Love this local chippy.
Always delicious. Chips are fantastic, incredibly gorgeous and the portions are generous. Fish batter is crispy and lovey!!! I highly recommend

Good chips great fish couldn't beat it, the only reason for a four star and not five is I think the portion of chips was a bit too small considering a large cod and chips was ordered. Chips look flaccid but are actually very good
Staff are very friendly and personable. The batter is light and crispy, nothing short of perfection, curry sauce is spot on. Well rounded establishment and a great little chippy.

A lovely friendly chippy run by lovely friendly people. The fish and chips taste like you're at a seaside chippy & at this time of lockdown it's nice to have a treat that takes you to a nice place. Decent portions and decent prices. The Scallop Butty was really big and tasty too 😋
Called off for 2 Fish and Chips today. They were amazing. Best Fish and Chips we have had for many a year. Polite and courteous staff. And they sell Steak Puddings which is unusual in Yorkshire. Will be back.
Excellent Fish and Chip takeaway. The establishment is also an ice cream parlor! And if the pictures upstairs are anything to go by? Then the kids are in for a treat!! And, if you take your children with you I think they may like it TOO!!
