We have been here several times as we are members and visited on this occasion to break a journey. It was much nicer than a motorway stop and we had a nice walk around. Food was good and the location is beautiful.
A place in history that gives you the feeling your still in the dark ages. Amazing architecture, really makes you want to make a time machine and kick king Henry's back side for damages to such a beautiful place.

Absolutely stunning! The walk around the Abbey and the gardens is beautiful! Well worth it. If you've got a National Trust card it's free to enter.
They also have tea rooms, restaurant, gift shop (with plants etc) and ice cream shop and all the facilities you'd need.
There is a fantastic playground
A fantastic place to visit. Although a fairly long walk down steep hill to the ruins it's an impressive place of history.
Plenty of walking to get her round the whole place so may have to go back to experience it all!
Separate entrance would be better if you need wheelchair or assistance.

Beautiful place, huge area ro view, would recommend staying the night if you want to see all of it, otherwise its going to be a long day.
