In general, had a lovely evening. Service was absolutely outstanding and very attentive. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy, lovely background music for ambience and my wife and I loved the natural light from the skylight. Food was a bit of a mixed bag. Now it is worth noting that we went of a Sunday evening and so we're ordering from the Sunday specific menu, this review may be updated in future as we intend to revisit and try the main menu. Starters were truly lovely, with beautiful presentation, and set us up really well and we were looking forward to the mains. My wife and I both ordered the roast pork. This is where things are a bit less than expected. The food wasn't bad exactly, just a bit bland and lackluster, especially the veg, which I would easily say, I could've done better myself at home (which is not what you want to be saying of a restaurant meal). The veg accompanying the roast was just very basic, very little flavour and no real creativity, like what was shown with the starters. The meat was cooked well and the Yorkshire's were amazing it must be said. Desserts were again pretty pleasant. My wife ordered the cheeseboard and enjoyed it for the most part, one cheese she found a bit too salty and I agreed, but that is perhaps just personal preference so I won't hold it against the restaurant. I myself had the raspberry Panna cotta and I have no complaints. It was a beautiful dish with lovely combinations of flavour and well presented. Overall we did really enjoy our night and again I can emphasise enough how good the service was, it's been quite a long time since I've had service like that and it is a true credit to the staff of this restaurant, so if they see this, all I can say is well done and thank you. Like I said earlier, we will be going back again to try the weekday menu and see if our experience fairs any better regarding the mains.

I was looking around Ripon for tea and cake, when I saw the desserts on the menu here and decided to try. I wasn't sure if it would be OK to get a pot of Earl Grey, a bread basket and a dessert, with it being more of a restaurant/wine bar but the guy was absolutely great about it. And it was worth asking. The bread and hummus were amazing, but the rhubarb panecotta? I would drive the 80 miles back there for that experience alone šŸ˜‹

Absolutely fabulous restaurant - unfortunately only found on the last day of our holiday to the Ripon area! Food was out of this world, great value, and the staff & atmosphere were phenomenal! I honestly can't recommend highly enough!

My partner and I have lived in Ripon for a year now and have only ever walked by Storehouse whilst heading to town - neither of us realised just how fantastic this place was, though we had had recommendations from friends. Low & behold we decided to try it out as it was my birthday and therefore entered Storehouse one sunny warm evening last week only to discover a hidden gem. It was quite early in the evening so we had the place to ourselves. We opted for window seat and that is where the amazement began.. the waiter came to us right away and he was utterly attentive, kind and chatty. Then we met the head manager - an older guy dressed in a dapper white shirt and smart trousers. He was the friendliest manager I've ever encountered. They were all so kind and engaging and informative. We began with a delicious fruity housewine and starters and soon moved onto our delicious main, followed by a cheeky pudding (photos attached). Everything about the experience was mind-blowing and we tipped generously. My partner and I left with huge smiles on our faces (not to mention full bellies). We will definitely return here many times again in the future.

My wife and I visited around 7 and found everything to be great. Service was fast but not rushed and food was amazing. Steak was done perfectly and my vegetarian option was one of the best I've had in a long time.

Iā€™m normally really fussy and not much impresses me when dining out, but wow, we both really enjoyed everything. Starter, main, desert, wine, cocktails all amazing. Iā€™ve never had a cocktail Iā€™ve enjoyed, but Iā€™ve had my first cocktail here I said ā€œwow thatā€™s lovelyā€. So a must try, I doubt youā€™ll be disappointed. All the staff lovely and friendly, so a must try.

The food was very, very good and our waitress thoughtful and attentive. We couldnā€™t have been happier. Good value too. There was a small problem with our dessert order, but they addressed it and it all worked out.

Group of 7 including 1 toddler and 2 children. The staff are always extremely helpful (and patient) with young children. Food portions very generous and well presented. A great choice for families.
