Beautiful house, the guided tour was very interesting and informative and staff were welcoming. Less able people might find the stairs in the house difficult as there is no lift. The grounds have lots of activities for children including miniature train, boat and play area. Everywhere was very well

Another fantastic day out at Newby Hall. We always have a wonderful day out and the kids love it. Wether it's exploring the gardens and blowing off some steam in the adventure playground or enjoying an ice cream or miniature train ride through the grounds. There's always something to do. I haven't been inside of the house because it needed booking in advance. The garden was very impressive as far as size is concerned. It has so many rooms and hidden nooks that you can get lost in.
Be sure you go to see the doll houses and teddy bear house!
The visit here was great. We came in the afternoon and had a couple of hours visit but we wish we came in the morning as there was so much more of the gardens to see.
