Called into the cafe whilst we were waiting for a colleague we'd dropped off at the Minor Injuries Unit. We had no money with us & the lady serving, very kindly offered us a free drink from the fridge. It was very much appreciated & very kind, thank you.

We (20 members of Skipton Cycling Club) visited The Sun Parlour at midday on a Saturday for refreshments during our club ride. Tracy and her colleagues could not have been more accommodating, taking our “invasion” in their stride with good humour. All my cycling friends agreed that the food, service and value for money were all first class. We shall return!

Paid a flying visit for a cup of tea this morning. Friendly staff and quick service. Spacious generally and ok for wheelchair access, but some seats are a bit of a squeeze to get to. Would have liked to spend longer here and it would be lovely to walk around the surrounding park on a sunny day.

Caroline and team provided our cycling club with an excellent Christmas meal. Home made cooking with good variety to accommodate all dietary needs. Excellent little cafe, taking a well deserved holiday until Feb half term holiday.

Sun Parlour Cafe offers ice cream small plates at realistic prices. Suitable place to take a gaggle of restless kids. A toy corner. With seating tailored for short legs. Just beyond its small terrace are activities for adults and children alike. Crazy golf. Find the hidden Green Men plaques in the trees. The only part off limits to children is the bowling green. There is a band -stand which is generally unused. But makes a good vantage point and climbing frame for children. The are well established fir trees to lounge under in summer like steady comforting grandpas. The lawns and herbaceous borders are eye catching and well tended. For the history buffs there ate a couple of monuments in dedication to the fallen of various wars.

This is a choice venue for a daytime meal In Ripon, snack or tea and cake - and much more! The food here is home cooked, the setting in the park is excellent and the service friendly and welcoming. We will return.
