Popped in initially for just a cuppa, but my wife and kids were drawn to the display of locally made cakes. Courgette & Avocado 🥑, Water Melon 🍉 and Sparkles ✨ were among the more unusual on offer. There was the mainstream Victoria Sponge and scones as well. The list of main courses and Gluten Free dishes seemed never ending.
The owner took the time to explain heritage and methodology of the cakes
I must say that they were very reasonably priced.
I'm told the cakes tasted fantastic, as I just had a cuppa.

Popped in for a coffee, discovered it's a lovely place, excellent service and food was amazing.
Went in today twice (1st time just for brew drinks then 2nd time for dinner had egg on toast) . A dog friendly cafe even if your dog barks at everyone that goes passed . Good selection of choices. Close to the Cathedral and police/prison museum .
You won't be disappointed with the food and even the service is fun too xx

A lovely cafe with a great atmosphere.
It seems popular with locals which is always a good sign and it was fairly busy even though it was a Monday morning.
Most of the food is homemade and tastes great and prices are very reasonable.
There's a good selection of food and drinks and vegans are well catered for, they even have vegan ice cream. Good kids menu too.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was quite fast.
I love the decor! I'll definitely go there again next time I'm in Ripon.
It is absolutely fantastic for people with coeliac disease. I had so much choice! It was wonderful to find somewhere and be able to enjoy food alongside my friends and family.
We initially had mid-morning tea/coffee and cake but loved it so much that we returned for lunch.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The produce was first class , all delicious and beautifully cooked. Plus an added bonus for us is its dog friendly which is brilliant
Stopped off in Ripon on our way from York back home in the lakes. Had a wander around and came across Wilfrids Cafe. Wasn't disappointed. Warm greeting from lovely young waitress. Cafe was empty when we sat down but soon others followed our lead and came in. Compact but lovely menu with some specials. Food all freshly cooked. We had the homade pies. One steak and ale and the other chicken and wild mushroom. Plentiful plates together with a lovely jug of gravy on the side. Will definitely return when we go back to Ripon. Highly recommend.

Lovely place, third visit. Very helpful staff. Great to see them selling gluton free cakes, although not gluton free myself, granddaughter is and often difficult to find things for her. Well done.
Lovely friendly and attentive service. Our drinks and food were nice. Personally would have preferred thin fries and more of a leaf salad with my food but that’s just preference. Lovely warm and friendly place to visit and nothing seems to much effort for them to help. Nicely located on the side street too

Great little cafe. Just what I needed at 9am on a Sunday morning after a few hours on the bike.
Menu had a good range also with lots of vegan and GF options.

This is a lovely coffee shop. The staff are super friendly and the menu quite varied.
We only had cake and coffee, but the meals did look nice. I didn't think the coffee was that good, but I've had much worse.
Very friendly service, good food at sensible prices - the fish pie has to be the star of the show.

A day visit to Ripon, came across this little cafe nestled in a back street, a stone's throw from the cathedral.
Ordered two Yorkshire breakfast and a pot of tea for two.
Very friendly service, nothing too much trouble, lovely cosy little restaurant.
The food arrived quickly and was SO good, lovely quality, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Pot of tea was huge, plus an extra of boiled water for top up and the offer of more if needed!
Luckily they also have customer toilets 😁
Can definitely recommend, they have a good and varied menu and even allow dogs.

The best piece of cake I’ve had in months. A nice cup of tea as well, complete with a pot of extra hot water. The Server was lovely. There is hand sanitizer and wipes on every table if needed.
