This really is a hidden gem in Ripon, it’s is very busy and I advise booking in advance . Even though it’s busy,service doesn’t really suffer and all the staff are happy to help .. it’s authentic, the warm bread and cabbage your offered to tempt our taste buds alone is worth the visit it’s yummy !! Food is full of flavour and the menu is bursting with choice and everything is reasonably priced. Will definitely be booking again on my next visit back to Ripon it’s a firm family favourite !! Keep up the good work guys x

Early bird menu has a really good choice, exceptionally good and friendly staff, and the food was absolutely delicious, we both had clean plates....thankyou Marios.
The food was bursting with flavour and the service was spot on. Not a bad thing to say about this restaurant. We've had perfect food and service every time.
I've just had the best salmon ravioli in my life (well, so far). The cream sauce was outstanding, or as the Brits say "brilliant!" My wife had two "starters" that were both creme-based (chicken & mushrooms, and seafood), also excellent. For a little out-of-the-way place, this restaurant rocks! Pricing is also less expensive than elsewhere in Yorkshire. We're quite please to have stumbled upon it!
We ate her for my sons 12th birthday treat; was fantastic food with excellent and efficient service, and fantastic value for money.

Food, and service both fantastic. Visited with friends and certainly was not disappointed.
Food was fresh, hot and beautifully prepared. Value for money is excellent. You go and compare prices to any chain restaurant and this beats it, comfortably. But doesn't beat it just on price, the food is far superior. All staff were super friendly and attentive and the, guy who I think was the owner, was a star.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely return at some point when visiting the beautiful town of Ripon.👌👍 A+.
This Italian restaurant is family run, and they certainly know how best to use simple, good quality ingredients to create beautiful food. We went twice because it was so good! The choice is bountiful, as are the portions and the prices were very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the tables are generously sized with very comfy chairs too. A perfect restaurant for a really lovely evening of food and pleasure.
Absolutely delightful meal the beef was cooked to perfection the service 1st class and considering how busy it was the wait for food was reasonable,
I took my wife here while we were traveling from the US. I had the beef bourguignon and she had the risotto seafood. The food was amazing. Th3 staff were all so nice. A guy named Marco spoke to us quite a bit. From the way he looks I guess he's the dishwasher. He was so friendly

Mario's is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. I honestly can't say a bad word about the place. There were 5 of us and from the moment we arrived we were looked after by all the staff. Staff treated us like we were family and were extremely polite. All the food we ordered arrived together (no one was left looking at others eating ha). Staff asked us 10 minutes before our food arrived if we needed drinks as the food was nearly ready, ensuring we had drinks for when our food did arrive... nice touch by the way. The food was cooked to perfection and the ribeye was so good. Highly recommend and will most definitely be going again when we pass through.
Visited the restaurant again last night and although busy (which is always good to see in these tough economic times) the service, atmosphere and food were, as always spot on.
Nothing too much trouble and I still think their pizza is the best in the city.

Staff are very attentive and welcoming. The food is divine. We had the lamb shank and fillet steak. Beautiful wine. And great choice of liqueurs and coffee. Will be back!

I went there last night with my mum and my son. The food was amazing as always but there was something else that made me leave this review. My son always gets the creamy kids pasta and this time it came with some parsley on top on it. He started saying "mummy I don't like it with these plants" but I wouldn't have asked for the plate to be changed for something like this (I am really not that kind of customer :) A member of staff or the owner (not sure who it was, I do apologise) overheard him and immediately said he will bring another plate as he knows kids don't like parsley. I did say there is no need to do that but he did bring him another plate with no parsley. That was more than kind and the type of customer service that goes a very long way. Thank you very much! We will always come back for the great food and for the lovely people!

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful service and food. We were a party of 15 and everything was perfect. We had a wide range of food including pizza, steak and pasta dishes. All meals were lovely. The service was spot on too.
Date night with my husband. We had a nice welcome from the friendly staff. Service was good and the food was great.
Great food, we had the set menu option and the starter was huge! I went for mussels and there was plenty. My second course was pasta which looked a little on the small side but in reality more than plenty. I wanted to go for dessert but my belly wouldn’t have it 🤣 absolutely delicious and I’ll probably go back before I leave 🥰

Discovered Mario's by accident but what a lucky find.
My Wife and I found we were early for a function so has a stroll around the city and chanced on this lovely restaurant. The Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was superb. We have booked again for this Friday.
