We stayed at Lumb Farm country club on 13th August, when we arrived we had a lovely welcome,very friendly and was made to feel welcome. The room had everything in there, very clean and comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening, it was very good, we apologised for not being able to eat all the food, too much for us. The breakfast was just as good, good selection. I must mention how good the staff were would recommend Lumb Farm to anyone. Dennis and Anne Morgan.
Been for afternoon tea today with my two sisters and my mum as a belated mothers day treat, we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of sandwiches you get compared to several afternoon teas we have been to before. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent, our scones were fresh from the oven and all sandwiches and cakes were fresh aswell as a large salad bowl and also dish of crisps which is a rarity for an afternoon tea. We will definitely be returning and cannot compliment the whole experience enough. Many thanks �
Went for an afternoon tea today with my family as I’m getting married here in September. The afternoon tea was absolutely gorgeous, they did a little afternoon tea for my niece who’s 2 as well and she absolutely loved it. The staff are really lovely and make the place lovely and welcoming. I can’t wait to get married here and I couldn’t recommend it any more!
I have had two baby showers here, one was a sit down meal and the other was afternoon tea. They was both lovely and the food was great. The staff are really polite and helpful. I will definitely be back for future events x
been for afternnon tea today with family. everything was lovely nothing too much trouble. even brought some home. value for money. we will be coming again. the staff so friendly. also let us choose our sandwich fillings. i would rate this venue 10 out of 10
Visited for the first time for a birthday meal with my family and would definitely make a return visit. Service was fantastic, staff were attentive and the food was lovely. Very reasonably priced 3 course meal with lots of choice. Good portion sizes you will not be left hungry!

We had our wedding here yesterday where do we start...from start to finish it was a perfect day nothing was too much trouble for the staff the food was amazing to which all our guests commented on, the chapel and function room looked fabulous for both occasions of afternoon and evening reception... Thank-you to ang Emma and all the staff they made our day extremely special <3

Been for dinner today and all I can say is what an amazing dinner, 3 courses all perfect, staff was all very well mannered and would highly recommend to anyone
Had my daughters 18th birthday dinner party here. Full 3 course meal at a very reasonable price. Food was delicious as it is every time we come here for meals.
We had a Large party of around 30 people all being served together and although a little confusion with what people ordered, which was more our fault than theirs, the whole night went to plan without any complaints. Spoke to a number of guests from our party who have all said how lovely the food was and what an enjoyable night they had.
I especially liked the fact that we were seated in a separate room to the other diners which was great as there was plenty of room for the kids ( and there were quite a few) to run around and not get into mischief or annoy any other diners.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and compliments to the chef for a thoroughly enjoyable meal �

Held a joint baby shower here today. Food was homemade and delicious, staff extremely attentive and polite and the room looked perfect! Will definitely be using this venue again in the future. Thank you for helping to make our occasion amazing.
We had our wedding here on the 18th August 2018 . Me and Matt couldn’t have asked for anymore . It was decorated beautifully and the staff was truly amazing helped wherever they could . Lovely place great people food amazing can’t wait to go again, only one thing which I should have spoken to them earlier was no chair or sofa to sit on which didn’t help my back however had I said they would have sorted it for us. Massive thanks for a wonderful stay 😀😀
Such a lovely place, Kendall & her team go above and beyond for you and make you feel so very welcome. I have spent 2 nights a week here for the last 8 weeks, unfortunately my time here has come to an end, I am working else were now. If i am ever in the area working again, I will not hesitate to book here again. thank you.

Visited Lumb Farm after a Former Colleague's funeral..The Staff were excellent and very accommodating..
Had Xmas do there, highly recommended, food spot on,I'm a coeliac (can't have wheat), and they catered for my needs superbly, one server served me in order not to mix up my food. Service very good, only one gripe,bar was a little sparce.

Great clean place and very spacious. One issue I did notice, is that the red emergency cord in the disabled toilet is practically none existing.I'm 5,4 and couldn't even reach it standing up! it doesn't comply with the cord instalment guidelines. This is a massive safety risk for people with disabilities! This needs sorting!
This was our first family adventure after lockdown and were only here for one night. Our room was very clean and tidy with everything we could want. We also ate in the bar during the evening and that was very well cooked, served and enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and, even though they were preparing for a wedding the following day, still had time to stop and make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. This was our first visit but we are ready looking forward to our second.
Attended a wedding. The staff were friendly. Very attentive. Fairly priced drinks 3 fruit shoots pint of coke and a j20 for 9quid.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff and good food. Would have been 5 stars however the website clearly states free WiFi in every room.. this is not the case. The WiFi in the bar does connect but is too weak to load a Web page and there is no WiFi at all in the rooms. Will happily upgrade this review to 5 stars if the WiFi gets sorted as it really is a nice place!
Superb place to stay. The rooms are immaculately clean. The food was first class. But above this the owner and her staff were BRILLIANT..

Nice quiet place, pretty bedroom although strange bathroom (shower covers all the bathroom so thé floor is always wet). Hosts absolutely wonderful, always ready to help and make this stay pleasant. Very good meals in large plates- no excuse to eat sweats in your room. Surely I come back there for my next trip in this area.
We would recommend this venue,we had our wedding there recently and everything was superb. The food was lovely,and the staff couldn't do enough for you. We stayed overnight and the breakfast was very enjoyable. A big Thankyou to Kendall and her staff.

Lovely scenic setting with a wonderful service.
I am an extremely fussy eater and there isn’t many places I will eat however this is top of my list.
Great value for money with very generous portion sizes.

Went to a Wedding here. All was very nice, the decor, reception from staff, the wedding tables looked very pretty, food was excellent, the whole place was very comfortable and inviting.

Great stay here for a few nights. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of room. I don't normally drink much but I really enjoyed sitting in the pub lounge area for a few drinks at night. Ideal location if you want to explore peak District, Derby or Nottingham.
What a hidden gem.. b+b rooms available are outstanding.. really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. The evening food was mouth watering the steak was cooked to perfection with plenty of choice on the menu.. was tied between the hunters chicken and the steak which was on a two for £25 offer which was well worth it came on a sizzling platter with homemade onion rings mushrooms peppers and homemade chips. One word sums this place AMAZING !!!!! Well worth the stay.. x
