Enjoyed the beer..fish an chips bit pricey.. not many people in for a Wednesday night 😴 would try something different to eat when I go again..
Lovely pub friendly staff, the food was wonderful, scampi chips best I've had for along time,braised beef very tasty I would definitely recommend this pub

just a shame when the bar staff are not serving ( they were standing talking whilst not busy ) they did not walk around the tables , collect glasses and offer other drinks on a table service ... making for happy customers and a happier till !
We often go to The Village in Marehay. The staff are lovely and the food beautifully cooked and served.
The food was delicious and a good place to eat. They apologised for the service being slow but I didn't think it was that bad. Have been to places that are a lot slower.
Had a fantastic carvery dinner, the staff were very friendly and always looking to have a quick chat to make sure everything is ok.
They seem genuinely interested in how you are & what if anything they can help with to improve your visit.

Village Inn at Marehay is slightly off the beaten track but worth the journey. Service was really good with only a short wait until the gravy was brought to the table which is the signal to go to the carvery counter. The serving staff were very attentive and incredibly helpful and polite, it made the evening extra special to be served by an incredibly polite young man and lady.
The food was beautiful and well cooked and served ....I came as part of a group and there were a few of us but the service never faulted
Excellent meal for my Mum's birthday. Menu isn't that fancy but the taste and quality was fantastic. The chicken with tarragon add bacon was class. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return, especially because the next table had a pizza that looked out of this world.
