My family and I stayed for one night over the weekend. Lovely hotel with very comfortable, clean and good sized rooms. Upon our arrival, staff were very friendly and all throughout our stay. Our evening meal was excellent and would definitely recommend the Lamb shanks! Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it with a good selection of choice. Would definitely recommend staying here as great location and made to feel very welcome by the staff. Looking forward to visiting again!

Great place, great staff but just not enough of them. There was a wedding on but even so they really could have had more staff as there was nobody on the front desk and the queue at the bar was very long. The breakfast was very delayed making our departure late too. Luckily we got a discount off our dinner and when we asked we were granted an extra half hour in the room. Saying that the staff were all lovely, very friendly and apologetic for the waiting involved.

Four night stay at end of July. Large quiet room at back on 1st floor, no lift so cases need carrying. Despite a large wedding reception on Saturday night, no disturbance being rear of building. Staff worked extremely hard to give service to residents at breakfast and dinner, they probably needed another 2/3 at each of these times. Menu choices good for breakfast and decent pub grub lunch/evenings. Green King need to source more Staff for busy times, but all we're very helpful despite constant pressure .

Had two nights bed and breakfast, rooms were ok, bed was very comfortable, nice clean bathroom, a bit of cleaning of ceiling light would be beneficial as room was on the dark side and dirty bulbs didn't help. Breakfast was very good full English and lost of choice for continental breakfast. Wasn't keen on location as on a busy road but room was quiet. Staff were very friendly and efficient so all in all a reasonable stay

Popped in for lunch with our daughter and baby grandson. Waitress was amazing, so friendly and welcoming. She was so kind to the baby, paying him attention and patiently joining in with his chatter. She was very busy but still made time to check all was okay with our meals and brought us more drinks when needed etc. Extremely friendly staff, good food, discounted prices for locals, lovely, clean restaurant 👌 Will definitely return for another visit.

We have just returned from a long weekend break with friends and would like to express our thanks to all the staff (especially Liam) for making us feel so welcome. From arriving at reception to leaving today nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff and we ate every night in the restaurant. Our room was comfortable and overlooked the garden. We will definitely return in the future!

Great pub and restaurant and very nice walks behind it. Make sure you put your vehicle reg on the system just inside the front door of the pubs otherwise Euro Car Parks will enjoy fining you so doing that is very safe to park there using the pub 👍

Lovely setting albeit straight off duel carriageway. Rooms modern, clean , & fresh. Good size too, all with good views. Acres of free parking, and very informal which suits this traveller. I would definitely stay there again.

Did not stay in the hotel, stopped for lunch and a drink. You have to think for yourself here and put your car registration in at the bar using a screen, a little like using a Lidls one. If you don't the camera will pick up the vehicle as you drive out as its a shared parking facility. Unlike lidl you don't get promoted to do this. The meal was an ok standard, the service was good and there was plenty to choose from the menu, if they had 2 chefs and nit just 1 that closed food earlier than stated. I would never choose to stay here. Its right on the A31 and so noisy.
