Lovely food and friendly above and beyond service especially for my elderly parents who were celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary. The waitress could not have been more accommodating and the halloumi sizzler was a fab vegetarian option. And even a special anniversary treat from the chef. Would 100% go back.
Lovely place and dog friendly, the service is great friendly staff and the food and drinks good.
The only thing I didn’t like was the bbq ribs not soft as others where they fall off the bone and the lack of bbq sauce well that was something else.
They can defo improve on that dish, otherwise it’s well worth going to.
Packed pub for a Sunday, with a very popular Carvery being enjoyed by lots of people, but still other items to choose from on the menu. The staff were really busy, but kept their cool calm demeanor throughout, and were friendly in their service. Enjoyed the carvery very much.
Very nice Inn. Children friendly all very well behaved when we went 3.6.23. Gorgeous outside seating area. Dog friendly. Gluten free options on menu, can recommend the pie delicious. Staff young and hardworking, all very polite. 😊
This is a fantastic pub out in the countryside. One of the best carvery meals we've ever had. There was an excellent choice of meats and we were spoilt for choice on all the veg and trimmings. The staff were really nice and attentive. Highly recommend if you're in the vicinity.

Went for a quick beers with a friend and the people that have taken it over are really turning it around. Nice ambiance, professional but polite serve at the bar. I'm going back to try the food when I can and I'll update to let you all know how it is!

My partner and I had the amazing opportunity to eat at The Old Beams Inn this week whilst we were visiting the New Forest, luckily on their Thai and steak night. We ordered a scallop starter which was perfectly cooked and seasoned with lovely pea puree and melt in the mouth pork belly, it was absolutely delicious. We then both had the fillet steak cooked to whatever the chef would recommend and it was honestly the best steak that both of us have ever had, we had the fillet and it was deeply flavoured with a lovely charred crust on the outside, it was so tender in the centre, I ordinarily wouldn't eat a steak cooked to what appeared to be rare but the chef certainly knows what they are doing, it was outstanding and we are still dreaming of the whole meal. What particularly stands out to me is that my partner didn't even pick up the salt to add more, everything was just perfectly seasoned and dressed.
The front of house were attentive and incredibly welcoming, not just to us, it was quite quiet at the beginning of evening bookings but we could hear them being so lovely to everyone that entered. Despite the September heatwave the restaurant was at an ideal temperature. We wished we lived locally and we're considering moving just to be closer and go through the whole menu!

As soon as you walk in to the old beams , you get a vibe its friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Service is best I have experienced. Food is top notch!! Plus the end of the meal my friend was presented a fab board with special treats and happy birthday message 😍 My family all say definitely visit to eat again
Wonderful food, excellent value and the carvery one of the best. Booking essential for a Sunday as it is quite busy. Dogs welcome, plenty of garden tables. We've never yet had room for a pud though.
We went to the old beams Inn after our daughters wedding. The service was excellent, they gave us time to chat and made us feel very welcome. The food was brilliant. They welcomed the couple's dog, gave him treats and water. Everyone really enjoyed the afternoon.

We sat in the garden , where there was plenty of seating. We had lunch which was very nice.
We had a lovely meal here this evening, our food was delicious & all staff members were great. Our dogs were welcomed & the dog friendly dining area was spacious with water provided for them. If you're in the area & enjoy good food I'd definitely recommend a visit.

Popped in here after a long hike with several friends and dogs and were accommodated outside without any problems at all. The food looked absolutely fantastic and the service was top notch. We were particularly impressed with the chef who was most friendly to our group. Good selection of beers, ale, excellent food, ample parking and brilliant service - definitely a place to stop by if you are passing.
