What a lovely change to have such a genuine friendly welcome! This cafe is privately owned and deserves to do well with excellent coffee and locally sourced food. The cakes in particular are difficult to resist! Veggie/vegan food on offer too and very reasonable prices. If you're looking for a different experience from the big chains then this is the place to go-and you don't need to be a cyclist! Even better when the sun's shining and you can sit at a table outside.

Today was first day of re-open under new owners. Atmosphere brilliant and think this is a great independent drinking and eating place for Ringwood. Has a cycle theme with a secure internal room to hold your bike and gear, but it is also kids and family friendly and they let you bring your dogs inside. Saw oŵner with mop cleaning up after a couple of large muddy but friendly dogs had been in. The cafe is tucked away but really worthwhile sharing this one with your friends and family. Forgot to mention, all the food stuff they serve is locally sourced. I can’t wait to try out their vege breakfast which looks delicious and very reasonable. Today it was the toast, yum yum. Please note I have no connection at all with this cafe or owners. First time I met them was today, but recognize quality and staff who want you to have a great time. I also like to see local independent traders do well.

Met some customers here as (a) it’s independent and (b) cycling related - we were discussing their forthcoming cycling holiday. Fantastic coffee, fantastic breakfast and the best bit of all was the welcome from the owner and his team. They deserve for this to be a great success. Highly recommended.

Popped in for the first time today, great little place. Staff are very friendly and were extremely helpful when I needed a cable for my garmin, so was able to charge it up whilst having a coffee and a slice of cake. Highly recommend incorporating it into a cycle route.

The new owners of cafe velo have made some great improvements. There was a lovely atmosphere and a very warm and friendly welcome. The food was reasonably priced and cooked perfectly. I was very impressed with the price of the children’s menu and the amount and quality of the food served. The breakfast with an added tea or coffee included in the price is an excellent idea. We will definitely be back. (Not sure we can make it tomorrow now!).

Popped in on our way home after a long walk in the forest with a very muddy dog. This place has everything you need, secure room for those expensive bikes, great coffee and food, free dog biscuits and really friendly staff

What a lovely find today! Super dog friendly (provided a bowl of water and dog biscuits for our two pups and they were allowed in the cafe). The homemade cakes were amazing and we’ll have to return to try out the rest!

Cycled here on a recommendation. Friendly welcome and good coffee. It is cycle themed with bike storage, and a workshop, but is a modern relaxed place with a friendly atmosphere suitable for anyone.

Finally got round to visiting Cafe Velo today, and it didn’t disappoint. The Owner (Pete) is super friendly and welcoming, and makes the time to chat to you. The secure bike store is absolutely perfect for keeping your pride and joy safe. Throw in the great coffee and lovely homemade cakes, it’s a must for anyone one, whether cycling or not!! I will be popping back with the dog to sample the lunch menu very soon!

Popped in for a coffee and brunch. Really good food (veggie velo) and coffee. Day 2 apparently.... certainly bucket loads more atmosphere than it used to have. I’ll definitely be back both on foot and as a cafe stop mid ride.

Thanks for a lovely full velo breakfast with gluten free “substitutions” and a latte. Was perfect after my morning ride. See you again soon to try the GF carrot cake

Decided to have breakfast here while on holiday in the area because of the reviews, very happy we did! The food was outstanding & the welcome & service was fantastic. Nicely laid out & spacious inside with lots of memorabilia on the walls. Would highly recommend Café Velo, even if you’re not a cyclist.

Lovely mega breakfast! The staff was very accommodating and spilt it between 2 plates for us. And finally a decent coffee (flat white) ! Thank you!

Bloody brilliant coffee and breakfast! Just stopped in here for a change and it’s fantastic. Staff very friendly, food was excellent and the flat white beats any I’ve had in Ringwood!

Great coffee and cake. The interior has a good atmosphere, complete with friendly staff. They serve a wide range of soft drinks, including tea and coffee. There was 7 different locally made cakes to choose from on my visit. A bicycle service station is also located within the cafe. The service station looks to also sell bike components including gears, tubes and lubes.

Great place of your an avid cyclist or just someone looking for a lovely quirky place to have a hot drink and cake or something hot to eat. Lots of interesting memorabilia on the walls to look at with a nice sofa at the back.

Just off the high street in Ringwood, this cafe is a wonderful experience for those looking for a great lunch or breakfast. In addition to the breakfast standards, they offer healthy options and additions including avo, mushrooms and poached eggs. For those needing the carbs, the meals are sumptuous and there are tasty cakes available. Popular with the cycling community, the restaurant is run by the owners and you are welcomed from the moment you walk in. Prices are very reasonable and the coffee is great.

Caught the kitchen 1 minute before closing; but they very obligingly cooked me a Full Café Velo (gluten-free breakfast) - at 2pm! Not a morning man, but their non-fatty fayre crammed with noshy flavours will have me begging for more and repeated visits! Great to have a pot of loose-leaf Dorset Tea, too!

Our best find in Ringwood, regularly cycle over for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Food is good quality, service is great and prices aren't too bad either. Although it can get busy, there are always seats available, either inside or out. It's good to see an independent business so we'll supported. And being able to leave our bikes inside is an added bonus.
