The Green Man at Ringmer is an incredible pub. The portions are always large and the food is always fantastic. The chicken and leek pie is a signature dish and is packed full of filling with creamy lump free mash and the veg is plentiful! The burgers come stacked piled high.
The chips seem to have changed and are much improved. Fried really well!
Service is good. Lots of people looking after you and they're all really friendly.
Dogs are welcome in the bar area and outside.
Toilets are always clean and tidy.
Loads of free parking.
Best to book a table for busy times as they get packed quickly.
We came as a large group (15+ people) and they were accommodating and patient with us. The service was speedy despite our many orders. The prices for are more than fair (£25 for three courses), and we were all pleasantly surprised by the amount of food we each got. The food itself was really delicious. We all definitely plan to return in the future!
Had a chicken burger main, it was pukka.
Hmmm just i think i choose the wrong food for me but, their dessert are absolutely worth, you can choose small or large. If you go small it seem like its a whole lot already.. i had chocolate fudge cake. And for my main i had an Italian meat board . I did not enjoy it but taste okey , i should of choose burger. ☺️
Great food, generous portions
The staff are fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely and the food is brilliant. I had already eyed up my pudding before ordering a steak and Guinness pie with chips and veg. My portion was huge and there was no way I was getting pudding until the waiting staff informed me that they do takeaway!!!! The photo is my takeaway banoffee pie. They even have thatchers haze on tap which means I would give this 6 stars if I could.
We had an Early Christmas dinner (22nd October) for our whole family 14 people for turkey dinner and pudding. The staff were great and very friendly. Everyone had a great time. Can't rate the staff high enough. Well done we will be back.

Great place to eat. Good food, huge portions, great value, nice staff, unpretentious atmosphere. The Sunday roast is the best I've had. If there is any downside, and it's only a small thing, it needs a better children's play area. Children did start to run around the decking area as parents were socialising on our visit.
Two of us went for lunch and the food was delicious. There was a good selection on the menu and me being Gluten Free has a good choice on the main menu. There is ample parking and a play area in the garden. The environment was welcoming and bright.
Gorgeous food, great big portion! Only let down would be the service time. The poor waitress was rushed off her feet and could of done with some help! We got bored of waiting for the desert menu !
