Just called in today when in the vicinity and looking for somewhere for a snack. Had a lovely soup and hot sandwich, followed by cake, plus a coffee. Food was good and there is also a good selection of local produce and other items for sale.
Friendly service and it is right next to Riding Mill Rail

Great little place,i was served by two lovely and friendly ladies who made me feel very welcome.I had a bacon and sausage sandwich which was done perfect,washed it down with a ginger beer and was very content afterwards,i'll definitely be visiting again.

Lovely coffee and sarnie, they have just reopened and have a lot of lovely cakes/beers/flour etc we had the hot beef sandwich was lovely. Local coffee too

Very friendly and amazing oat milk tumeric latte with a few great vegan options! Would get the carrot cake and vegan roll again anytime!
*Edit* revisited a year later just for the carrot cake alone and it was worth the drive over still!
For a small cafe they have an excellent range of hot drinks and food available. Their prices are very competitive and is more than justified by the quality of the food served. Service is always excellent. Highly recommended the bacon butties.
The Deli at Riding Mill Station is fully open again under new owners and is fantastic. Great food, well stocked, very friendly staff with lots of added extras. Highly recommend.
Went here in the late morning on a drizzly day. Surprised to find that it was busy, obviously it's well known in the local area. We had soup and Hexham sourdough with a late. Served by the loveliest staff member who made our visit even better. Small but cosy place with plenty of fresh and local produce.
Delicious food served by very friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable seating outside in the sunshine! A perfect start to the day, highly recommend.

Lovely coffee house. Good choice of baked goods and the service is very friendly. This week cabins are being installed to give shelter outside and keep visitors safe.
The staff were courteous and very pleasant. The food was excellent, good value and well presented. The premises has good free parking and is well placed. A lovely charming cafe.

Actually in the old Station Building, therefore extremely convenient for Station users. Lovely ambience. Friendly lady Proprietor and scrumptious cakes and Tasty drinks.
