Lovely cozy warm pub. Lovely ambience. First time
Going there with my partner. We had two duo of lamb …it was amazing! With all that’s going on in the world , you can still get a high quality pub meal, great value for money and good customer service!! Lars was brilliant !!!
Only criticism is that

Very cosy pub. We ordered two starters each for four people, along with mini dessert, including hot drinks. Food very tasty.
Staff were polite and accommodating towards our needs and had a chuckle at our order. It's quite different for me but enjoyable.

Lovely cosy pub, good outdoor seating. Lovely sunny day so we sat outside. Friendly staff. Food was nothing special, we had salt and pepper squid which was lacking both a bit of salt and pepper. Duck & Orange parfait was pretty decent and we shared the Sunday Trio which was also ok. Overall a decent
Never miss this lovely pub if you ever visit Rickmansworth. especially if you are here for a Sunday roast. Cosy pub and friendly staff. Ample parking and a huge beer 🍺 garden as well. Lovely place to spend time during summer.
We are from Australia and have been travelling within UK and Europe for 12 weeks and stopped at this Traditional English Pub during a day out sightseeing. Went out for a quiet meal with my wife, son and his fiancée. Sheila our waitress was amazing, giving us as much time as we needed to choose from the menu ( as we were chatting about wedding plans), always a smile and helpful.
I had the fish and chips, others had home made pie and all were top notch
From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by friendly staff that make you feel welcome. The menu is an absolute delight and the range of drinks is superb. We were seated and drinks arrived promptly then we were served by a lovely lady called Sheila and she was both friendly and efficient. The food
Very friendly service, very relaxed setting. Lovely outside seating areas, especially on sunny days. Food was lovely.
The food was lovely, a really good selection to choose from. I had the Sunday roast and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and they provided a good table as we were a group of 11. The only downside is we had to wait a long time for our desserts.
Best burger I have eaten in a long time.
Coffee was very good.
Brownie dessert was delicious.
Service was quick and friendly from what appeared to be only 1 guy working the tables.
Very impressive.
