At approximately 16:00 hours on Friday 15th September 2023, I went to the cafe with my Mum for a late Lunch. On arrival it was busy but the staff still went out the way to accommodate us and were very kind/friendly.
Despite being a bit of a picky customer and asking for a couple of extras all the staff sorted out my queries.
The server took our order quickly, the food arrived promptly and was very tasty.
Despite being there near to closing time no member of staff tried to rush us and took the time to talk to me about their day.
Fancy drink, food, and pudding for two people at just over £30 was reasonable.
I think it is a really lovely place to go with a nice atmosphere which is helped by the background music but is made by the enthusiastic attitude of the staff (Even at the very end of a hard shift.)
Thank you!
Great find this place. Visited Richmond for lunch. Walked in, greeted by Evie who helped with the menu and was particularly cheerful and fun. Food was great, no nonsense and huge portions!
Nice atmosphere. Great to see a place like this so busy too on a Tuesday lunch.
Well done team!
Beautiful cakes on display as we arrived we loved the fact it was dog friendly. We ordered a Terry's chocolate orange cake, tea, latte and prawn mayo sandwich. The cafe staff forgot about our prawn sandwich but quickly fetched it out after we informed them we had been waiting awhile
A wonderful, dog friendly cafe. We were lucky enough to get a table here three times during half term. It's very popular and so the staff to a fantastic job at serving you quickly to maintain a fast turn around. There is so much amazing food to eat we were spoilt for choice! Highlights to mention: The kids loved their hot chocolates - they are large with whipped cream and marshmallows. Great triple cooked chips. The giant sausage rolls are delicious, and their cakes, warm scones and creamy cheesecakes were heavenly! Everyone who served us was so welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!
The most amazing strawberry & white chocolate and raspberry meringue cheesecakes you will ever taste! Great coffee & service and reasonably priced for Richmond.
Best tea room in Richmond my personal view. Afternoon tea was outstanding. OMG my husband had on our 1st visit the plough mans lunch outstanding. On both visits we were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Lovely inside, clean and nice atmosphere
Reserved a table and afternoon tea for a busy Sunday - cosy corner table ready for us when we arrived.
Staff couldn't have been friendlier, and even assisted with some special requests to help celebrate an anniversary.
Food was lovely, you can't complain about unfilled sandwiches here - the filling was thicker than the bread!
Chunky homemade scones with a good texture.
Cake slices at the counter looked hefty also - wish we got one to take away.
The hot food being presented to other guests looked fantastic also.
Would heartily reccomend for anyone visiting Richmond.
Wow, what an amazing breakfast! Just spent 4 nights in Richmond and found this little gem of a cafe in town. We breakfasted there 3 days out of 4 and can’t praise the service and the food high enough. Fabulous. We will be back next time we are in Richmond. Well done 👍
Just looking for something local and authentic for a quick coffee and cake, and luckily came across this place-a real gem, and thoroughly recommended. Friendly, comfortable and great choice of yummy food . Perfect.
Extraordinarily good - high quality produce exceptionally well cooked. This is not run of the mill food that leaves you thirsty an hour later. The finest cooked breakfast I think I've ever had. The staff were super attentive. Seriously good.
