Question for you. Have you been to India and tasted authentic Indian cuisine? If you have you’ll know that what is served in many British Indian restaurants is not a true representation of what is on offer in this amazing country. A curry is not all about how hot you can get it but about the spices and flavour that is put into a dish, hotter is not necessarily better.
Dined at delhi orchid last week and such a beautiful place it is to enjoy authentic Indian food. Lovely starters with beautiful presentation and the food was delicious. Me and my wife really had a nice time there.
Great food with style and flavour. The staff also brilliant. The only thing letting it down were the dingy wc's. Fix this and it's a winner.
I'd like to amend my review. The gentleman from the restaurant called me back in a few minutes and it seemed like he did not hang up on me on purpose, rather, it was a connection issue.

Their food is great and I like the service and atmosphere. However, I tried calling them to book a reservation the guy keeps hanging up on me for no reason. He would answer the call, not wait for me to finish asking my question and just hang up on me. I have family in town and would've loved to take my own family there Friday night. But I guess not
Being indian I tend to compare indian restaurants to how authentic the taste and cooking style is to how we have food at home. This is one of the top for me in terms of taste, and execution of their dishes. You won't have a thick layer of oil covering your curries or undercooked rice that could break your teeth. The staff are very friendly too 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The food here is different from most other Indian's and it's delicious. It's also beautifully presented and actually looks like quality as well as tasting like it. Nice comfortable little place as well. I went with three mates, all of us big curry men, not one dissenter.
Most Indian restaurants in Richmond offer good service but I would say the service here is much better. The food in my opinion was really excellent, very Indian without being too spicy (I do not like it too spicy), portions were pretty good as well. Prices were good and ambience was excellent. Definitely worth going to.
Lovely relaxed and fun Indian restaurant. Great service and staff who behave like they have a stake in the whole experience. Always come out feeling happy and very well fed. Great quality. Just a very pleasant place to enjoy dinner with family and friends just over the bridge from Richmond.
Have been here a couple of times now and the food is consistenly very good and reasonably priced
The chicken tikka starter is great as the chicken is very well flavoured and well cooked so the chicken is still nice and a little moist while still properly cooked.
The main dishes I have had have all been very good, the currys are delicious and have filling, none of the dishes have been to spicy even though rated as medium/hot they let you know there is chillies there but as art of the flavour and not just heat for the sake of heat.
Is one of my go to places when wanting an indian as the food has always been good, the service is great and the price is reasonable.
Thanks
A fine establishment, with lovely, interesting food. It is modern, clean and friendly. It lacks the charm of older school Indian restaurants. With flock wallpaper and Bollywood tunes.
The food here was delicate and full of flavour. Part of me hankers for the old days. With onion bhajis the size of tennis balls and a vindaloo that could take the enamel off a tin plate.
Those days are gone. Maybe for the best. Maybe though we have lost some of ourselves as well.
Friendly and quick service. Lamb Dupiaza was excellent. All 7 of us enjoyed our meals.
Great service and great food. We had lamb and chicken Korma. Would definitely recommend.
Great food, good value, lovely staff. No hassles, just a good experience.
Amazing food and service. You will not be disappointed!
Great food, friendly staff. Going again within the week.
