A miserable weather outside, rain pouring down. Walking from the castle, I smelled some nice fried food. Saw the place and went in. Ordered "Standard" fish and chips for 8.50, the fish was a Haddock. I got the box, then saw the tables, so I sat down. Tasted great! Nice thickly cut chips, and a thick
Popped in for takeout dinner. Had walked into town earlier and had the place recommended by locals for best fish and chip supper. Totally agree!
Two standard and two small portions of fish and chips plus 4 sides for £23 is an absolute bargain! The small portion is plenty large enough a child or someone with a smaller appetite. The fish was lovely and flaky and the batter was crisp, well cooked and not too greasy. Chips were equally well cook
Just ha great fish, chips, peas and curry sauce. Lovely thick chips, white fish with crispy batter. Would highly recommend. Shared this takeaway which was more than enough.
The perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. From outside it looks unassuming and the interior very very tired, in much need of a refresh BUT, I believe on many occasions these venues can produce the best food. Boy was I right, fish that was light, bursting with flavour and batter which
Popped in for a sit down fish and chip lunch. Best fish I've had in ages. Meal deal was a bargain. About £11 for fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter, tea and a pudding. Special appreciation to the waiter for his homemade cheesecake.

While visiting the Richmond castle we got hungry and while walking out at the castle we saw this establishment. When we went in we thought it was a take out place, but we found out that they had tables on the second floor that had air conditioning. I ordered the regular order of fish and chips and
Lovely Cod & chips with mushy peas, bread & butter and a drink, plus a sweet to finish it off. All for a reasonable price.
Had excellent fish and Mushy peas. Both tasted really good and was delicious, and a very good price, was expecting it to be more expensive

Visiting Richmond today we popped into this fish chip shop and got 2 small portions of small fish chips with mushy peas n curry sauce on the other. It was delicious 🤤 the young girl chatty and busy and the size of the fish for small was great the amount of chips I would say was too much hence the 4
My wife and I decided on lunch in the upstairs restaurant and were not disappointed. We enjoyed the small fish & chips for £8.95 each which came with a large pot of tea and a choice of extras (curry sauce and mushy peas for us). I suspect the negative reviews here are now out of date as our food was
Really nice and tasty fish and chips, customer service was straight to the point, then had short five minute wait. Fish and chips were piping hot aswell as the curry sauce on the side made exactly how it was supposed to be made. Would order here again.
Perfect! Only had a small fish n chips, comes with a curry sauce. Lovely
