The lady who runs the place let us in to our room early she was so helpful. The room was quite dated but it's very clean beds comfortable separate bathroom with shower but only for our use. It is right in town so close to everything dog friendly which is a bonus as we took two dogs have a key for back door so can come and go as u please not one complaint and can't wait to go back.

Great value accommodation. Staff helpful in directing where some of the best places to eat out, as no food available onsite.

Stayed here for 3 nights- great location in the heart of Richmond. It’s a pub with 4 bedrooms upstairs so expect noise and music till the pub closes. I had the back bedroom upstairs which was less noisy with mainly loud conversation from the garden below. Good value and I got a basic room with double bed, wardrobe, drawers and a shower/toilet. WiFi wasn’t working but I was out all day and only came back to sleep.

Lots of people complaining on here but the accomodation is very clearly a pub. The rooms are well equipped and spacious and the service from the staff was very friendly. If you can put up with the noise that comes with a small town pub till around 1am then this is a fantastic budget option, also the bar has a fantastic selection of ales and spirits to help you get some shut eye.

Stayed for 2 nights, pub was lovely and punters friendly. Room was basic (if your over 6ft try avoid room 2 as ceiling quite low) fresh towels each day. Big shout out to Ollie who was welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Nice place to stay right in the centre of the town, price wise was spot on. Would definitely stay again.

Having read some of the other reviews I was expecting a right dump. Arrived to little pub in middle of a very pretty town, with super friendly and helpful lady working behind the bar. Room was lovely, v comfortable, clean and spacious. We stayed Friday and Saturday which is the 'worst' for the noise that some people have moaned about - and yeah there was music going on downstairs and people enjoying themselves, but no worse than Fri/Sat in most towns and we slept fine. Enjoyed our stay.

Nicest Sunday roast for a while, tender beef food hot. Staff friendly. And a surprise visit from Sacha the Rottweiler was the icing on the cake.

Centrally located close to town centre. Very clean and had private bathroom for personal use not en suite but only accross hall. Despite being above public house very quiet and staff friendly, would definitely recommend.
