Extremely welcoming to humans and dogs alike. Cheese scone was the best scone that we have had all holiday 10/10, egg and bacon sandwich really lovely and importantly cooked to order. Even the dogs received treats and a bowl of water. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely return. Xx🐾🐾
Some of the most accommodating staff I've ever encountered. Made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond in service.
Only got a chance to try some delicious hot chocolate and cheesy chips, but would definitely return for a substantial meal.
Can heartily recommend this place to anyone.
The last time I was in Richmond was back in 1989. Nothing appears to have changed. The tea room was idyllic. And I thoroughly recommend the Wensleydale and Bacon sandwich.
The best sandwich I've had in the UK. Costa Coffee, Pret a Mange, Starbucks take note!
Thoroughly recommended visit.
A lovely friendly place, good food and a very friendly chatty waitress. Would certainly go again if I was in the area.
Took the kids and self to have a break from the rain yesterday. Arrived to lots of tourists and local people alike and all seemed to have a lovely time. Friendly service and will be coming back as felt warmly welcomed. Lovely food and a great cuppa tea.
I had a gorgeous lamb dinner, my fella had home made steak pie and chips. I noticed there were some gluten free options too. Definately gonna make a return visit.
Very welcoming made a big fuss over the dogs gave them free biscuits a generous teapot for two well worth a visit
A very welcoming and great staff! I think I've had the best English breakfast so far...
If you're around Richmond, pop in, you have nothing to lose but nice tastes to gain!
Lovely tearoom fabulous service and friendly staff
Fabulous meal had the ham, staff lovely.😀
Just popped in for tea and cake and we were so warmly welcomed and looked after. Lovely genuine hospitality and great tea and scones. Thank you.
Lovely food, great staff and value for money
Just passing through the city, stopped with a fellow hiker I came upon on the famed English Coast to Coast walk a few kilometers outside of town, started up a conversation. By the time we hit town, decided sharing a pot of hot tea after a fairly easy 10 mile hike was the thing to do to end the day, so that with a shared scone accompanied by butter and marmalade was just fine, indeed.
Holy cats this place is busting with business. Not a seat inside, but luckily we grabbed a table for two outside--likely saving the folks inside from the somewhat less than desirable fine aromas that could be emanating from our hiking gear.
Easy enough: want to know where to eat? Look for the lines. They're right here. We walked by several other tea purveyors and none had the crowd. And thereby I designate this as good as it gets in the town of Richmond.
Good honest english grub. nice and clean, sometimes hard to find a table as it's always busy!
What a lovely old fashioned Tearoom serving delicious home cooked food. My nut roast was one of the best I've ever had! My husband enjoyed his roast beef dinner too. The crumble served with custard was delicious! Each serving would happily serve two people.
The service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely return!
Excellent service and the staff is super friendly. We have a full English breakfast and it was very yummy, we definitely gonna come back if we are around. Cakes and very good and the bread it's homemade so good... 😋 👌
We stopped here for a light lunch! We needed a table for 8, so they needed to move some tables around which was no problem at all! I had the burger of the day, and it was absolutely delicious! The chips are probably the best I’ve ever had, (I’ve had a lot)! Highly recommend eating here!👍👍👍
Dogs welcome. Fantastic breakfast, great for meat lovers, plus vegetarian choices. Eggs benedict was a star choice.
Friendly staff. Great food and service! I ordered the veggie breakfast, which is served until 12 noon. Delicious.
Excellent service, friendly and warm with a healthy dose of "smile" thrown in. Couldn't be more helpful.
The food was not bad and choices available were ok but nothing stuck out, so to speak. I thought the prices were leaning a little toward the expensive side for what was produced.
Overall, a good location, excellent service but could do with a little work on what is offered.
Steak pie was tasty, staff were friendly and very helpful, cakes looked delicious.
Just went there for a cup of tea. It was a decent tea but took a took ages to get served. Also asked for a pot of hot water and a glass of water but had to ask a second time because it didn't come originally. It also needs updating inside. The decor was done in the 80s and it has stayed in the 80s, and I don't mean done in a retro way.
Nice place. Good food. Helpful staff.
Ham, egg and chips had top quality, homecooked, thick sliced ham, perfectly cooked eggs (x2) and freshly cut and fried chips. Perfect.
Good cordials that can be prepared hot or cold, still or sparkling in a variety of interesting flavours. Cranberry and pomegranate is lovely.
All in all, a good tea room.
Visited many times but this visit was Sunday lunch. Usually excellent and friendly service from the staff but the lunch was a bit disappointing. Meat was beautifully tender but vegetables were undercooked and almost raw and the Yorkshire pudding looked delicious but was like leather. Will visit again but definitely not for Sunday Lunch.
Our meals were delicious. The best chips I have ever tasted. Food was a very generous portion. Highly recommend.
Really nice cafe. Food arrived in good time. We had sandwiches - generous portions, well put-together, very tasty. Ordered a milkshake and was happy to find it was a proper milkshake, very tasty and so thick the straw stood up in it. Service was a little disorganised but nothing major. Was pretty busy for a weekday in term-time, imagine this place would be chocka at peak times.
