We visited yesterday on father's day and had the £14.95 two course menu. The food was beautiful but not enough and a side order of green beans was £3, which I think is a bit much. Why can't one side of the choice be included to the meal.
Also 3 of the desserts weren't available which personally I think you should never run out of, or why advertise them.
The staff were fantastic and service over all was brilliant. Will definitely visit again but please have available what you advertise.
Good food, service and the price was very affordable.
I would say its got to be one of the best places to eat in Richmond.
I would recommend going to try for yourself.
Great, tasty food at a very reasonable price. Staff were very cheerful and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Had a meal here yesterday evening with my husband and can safely say was the best meal we have had in a long time the food was delicious and piping hot and we didn't wait long between courses the staff were very helpful and made the experience more enjoyable will definatly be returning soon
Fab hidden restaurant in Richmond great food, staff and wine
The food was fantastic and the prices were good. I felt that nothing was over priced and all the staff were friendly. I would highly recommend then to anyone
Great staff with an excellent meal. Entrees were served to the table in order and each of them were prepared to perfection. The mains were correctly portioned so as not to feel uncomfortable and the deserts showed me that the chef takes great care in following traditional French recipes. You have to go more than once to sample the whole menu - absolutely delicious
Food and service was excellent, the staff couldn't do enough for you, would definitely recommend Cheryl and Andre
The food in this restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the service is exceptional. Anyone who is going to Richmond, this is a must. We will definitely be back.
Went on Saturday with family and had a beautiful meal with excellent service and atmosphere. Visited again tonight with my daughter for the set menu and it was beautiful, outstanding value. The food and service were outstanding. Can’t wait to visit again when we are next in the area.
We went there on Saturday for lunch. The service was good and professional but a little slow. The important thing: the food. The food was divine. You have a 2 or 3 course set menu, A la Carte and lunch menu. We chose the set menu. I had doup of the day, which was brocvoli and blue cheese. It was served with fresh baguette and was very tasty. Later I had salmon croquettes which were absolutely gorgeous when dipped in the tartar sauce. My pudding was creme brulee. God, it was good. Toilets are clean, and we paid £60 for a pair of wonderful lunches, including tea and coffee. I strongly recommend this place and will come again.
Their menu features classic French dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients, and the atmosphere is charming and vibrant. Whether you're looking for an evening with friends or a family gathering, it looks like a great choice. The service was excellent and fast.
AMAZING! I can’t believe I haven’t visited this gorgeous place until now!
We chose to eat from the set menu which was very reasonably priced, they had a large wine list & a good variety of food considering it’s a set menu.
From being seated to leaving we felt welcome, not rushed at all. We booked our table an hour before we were due to eat and they couldn’t have been more accommodating.
I really can’t recommend this place enough, a beautiful hidden gem that I will be back to asap!
Had a stunning dinner at this great restaurant. Fish of the day was lemon sole with caper butter with a boozy orange bread and butter pudding with a chocolate drizzle to finish. Just so good. Lovely crisp white wine to compliment. Husband had the chicken. Equally as good.
I'm not sure this place needs another review, but my wife and I so enjoyed eating here.
We were on a 350-mile trip all the way up the A1 from Cambridge to Edinburgh and needed somewhere for lunch at the halfway point. We couldn't have chosen better! It's just a few miles off the A1, and although parking is NOT easy, it's way, WAY better than anything you'll find on the A1.
I had a Croque Monsieur that probably contained close to the lethal amount of cheese and set me up for the week, whilst my wife had salmon fishcakes she described as the best she'd ever eaten. Since our usual holiday routine is "Head south through channel tunnel, Paris by lunchtime" not "Head north up A1, it's going to rain all week", the food here more than compensated for the poor weather.
Overall, great food in a wonderful building. Only the slightly off-hand service let this place down, but perhaps that makes it all the more - dare I say it - Parisian?
A friend and I went for an evening meal and a good natter. Staff were very pleasant, friendly, attentive when needed (not overbearing as can be in some places) and had good banter, made our evening out very enjoyable.
The food was delicious, cooked to perfection. They have an excellent menu. They also had some really nice wines.
I wholeheartedly recommend Rustique in Richmond, N Yorks and if opportunity comes around, I wouldn't hesitate in returning for another meal.
Apparently there's a Rustique in York too.
Love this restaurant, slightly off the beaten track. Full of atmosphere and enjoyed an excellent meal here. Would highly recommend and love to return. Thank you!
Just popped in for a spot of lunch and all 3 of us left saying "wow".
The set menu at £16.95 offers lots of choice for 2 courses...the steak in peppercorn sauce with French fries was phenomenal. Desserts were simply delicious. Be warned though, if you're going to eat on a Friday/Saturday night, book in advance; a lady popped in to book a table but was told it was fully booked. It is fully booked for a reason; this restaurant is superb.
Tasty food and great service. Nice an peaceful environment. If you're around, will definitely recommend it.
We popped in for lunch here and really enjoyed our meal. Although there were a few waits involved (there appeared to be only one person waiting all the tables which isn't that uncommon these days, and they were doing a great job) they were all worth it as the food was brilliant.
We had creamy mushrooms to start and confit duck and a baked vegetarian crepe and everything was excellent, especially the mushrooms and the wine sauce that came with the duck. The prices were exceptionally low for the quality on offer as well.
To round things off, the venue was cozy and full of character and there were different sections (not all in the photos I've added)to allow for a good amount of tables without losing an intimate feel.
5/5.
