The Orangery Cafe - Richmond-upon-Thames - Photo album

I had a baked potato which was very nice. The pasties were also recommended, especially the spicy vegetable one. Cakes are always great at a National Trust cafe.
Nice well kept cafe called Orangery cafe. They have a separate room just for families with dogs too. And ample seating outside too with a great view of the lush gardens. Can be quite busy during weekends. Not to many vegetarian or vegan items to eat however. There is free parking to visit the nation
The wisteria welcomes you as you sashay through the orangary and it's National Trust cafe delights. One important warning - beware the pigeons. They are deceptively cunning. I observed one stealing a buttered scone off an unsuspecting patrons table.
Waiting in line to be served (at lunchtime) was a little crowded, but service was good. There were sufficient tables available (both inside and out) for everyone.
They were very busy but we all got what we wanted and got a table in the kitchen garden. Nice shortbread.
Customer-friendly cafe in one of the oldest Orangeries. I love the idea that they use as many produce as many they can from their own kitchen garden! Unfortunately the building is coverd with wisteria.
First time we've been for ages, this time the cake was fresh and in line price wise with similar outlets. Will definitely go again soon.
Cafe with a view alright. Edible garden with tasty fruit and veg ;)
Best NT coffee ina long while. Amazing display of crocuses
Very busy as it was Easter Sunday but lovely setting overlooking the Kitchen Garden. Much of the food is grown in the grounds
