I paid 3 quid and nearly 30 minutes for a classic hot chocolate and wasn’t sorry! I’ll be back and yes, will join the queue again. 😋 There’s no greater advertisement than a fan line- it’s what caught my attention. I seldom opt-in to queue for anything in life. As I tried to gauge what all the fuss was about I noted occasional passersby with condescending looks-( my thoughts at first, “Who lines up for ice cream?”) As a tourist about town, I decided to shake off my judgment and join the fun! And let me tell you, for me, it was worth it.

What a treat! Found Danieli On The Green by accident - an Instagram post randomly crossed my feed, raving about their hot chocolate! It did not disappoint! Thick, creamy and delicious. Make a great dessert!

A great selection of unique flavours all made in house (upstairs!). At peak times the long queue out of the door does move quite quickly so don't be put off by it. 😋

They have some of the best hot chocolates in Brighton (and arguably also the UK). It is very decadent, the hot chocolate is really thick and they also have a variety of flavors. I got their pistachio hot chocolate which was lovely. I’d love to fry the spiced hot chocolate next!

What a gem of a gelato and chocolate shop with the best gelato in the London area! The gelato they serve is so much better than what we Americans call ice cream, and the wonderful service with a smile from Freya and Catherine made our day. For Ted Lasso fans, Danieli On the Green's exterior has appeared in the first 2 seasons and rumor has it that a larger scene from season 3 was shot there. A visit to Richmond wouldn't be complete without a stop at Danieli's!

Came across this shop while visiting Kew Gardens and Richmond. Danieli on the Green is a nice little sweet, ice cream and chocolate shop with views of Richmond Green. I came here for the chocolates which can be purchased in boxes to hold 100g, 200g and 400g of assorted chocolates. I bought the 100g box which was enough to hold 8 pieces of chocolate. Have tried about half so far. Not amazing, but certainly about average.

Pistachio and Strawberry Sorbet are my favourite. Hazelnut and Bakewell Tart are my next on the list to try. At £3.50 a scoop, the gelato at Danieli is cheaper than Venchi and Amarino. Venchi and Amarino sell at £4.50 a scoop.

The chocolate ice cream is available on the shop on the lane, not on the corner, and only to take away but you can also get coffee there. Both are lovely to then enjoy sitting on Richmond Green itself.
