Came here recently with some work colleagues, there was around 20 of us. We were in the top event room with the dedicated bar. It was a fantastic evening, the staff were brilliant, and the food too.
The staff were very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much for them.
The food all came out together, and all really nicely presented and tasty too.
I went for the aubergine and flat bread to start. It was absolutely delicious. So full of flavour. I could have just eaten that all night long and been the happiest ever!
For main I went for the steak. It was very tasty although very chewy, which wasn't too pleasant. Bit of a shame, but the flavours did make up for it. The fries that came with the steak were delicious. Nice amd crispy with a good fluffy inside. I've also added a photo of one of my colleagues' fish pie, which I was told was delicious.
For desert, I had the lemon tart. It was nice, although very rich and I couldn't finish it all.
Overall, I highly recommend coming here as it really was such a lovely evening enjoyed by all.
No.1a Duke Street is a delightful spot! The ambiance is cozy and inviting with a great taste in design. The service was quick, and our orders arrived promptly. The Bloody Mary's were excellent. However, the salads were delicious but quite small for £19 each. I recommend they reconsider their portion sizes for better value. Overall, a lovely experience!
No 1a is part of a collection called Wearetheaddress, and the restaurant’s location fits well with the collection’s vibe. We were served tap water and asked if we wanted any drinks as soon as we sat down at our table. Since it wasn’t very busy, we received our food within 15 minutes of ordering it. The halloumi burger was delicious, but it was similar to halloumi burgers you can find elsewhere. There was nothing particularly special about it.
Overall, having lunch at No 1a was great. You get good value for your money, the location is central, and the staff were professional. However, I was a bit disappointed when we ordered smoothies because it wasn’t made clear that they would come in a bottle. I thought they would be made fresh and served in a glass. It might have been a misunderstanding or I might have missed some details. The smoothie was great, but it didn’t justify the cost and the small quantity we received in a bottle.
Great place to hold office or any other large parties. The staff are wonderful and I just loved the ambience of fireplaces and Christmas trees.
However food and drinks were a bit disappointing. Especially, the drinks looked and tasted all the same except the fruit toppings which were changed
The place itself I will definitely recommend and quite close to the high street and Richmond Station.

Fantastic. Absolutely lovely welcome and superb service from all staff. Manager/main guy running the floor was extremely polite and attentive. Food was so good. I got the fregola salad with feta, which was incredible. All the right flavours. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.
Amazing place. One of my favourite place for a morning coffee, meetings, lunches and even mums night outs. I love to come here just to read a book a calm environment by the fireplace, too. Lovely stuff and great menu. You should definitely try vegan breakfast and also coconut cheesecake 👍😋
The best party ever. The organisation was seamless; everything was perfect and fell into place precisely as I requested. The dedicated barman was attentive, bringing out the drinks as needed and informing me of the stock situation so that I could assess the needs. It never felt like I was being pressured to order more and only being updated as requested so that I could make informed decisions. The food was incredible; all 31 guests still dream of the mac and cheese bowls. Tonya, the planner, was responsive to all my needs and questions and was never pushy. The venue is beautiful, the private room is stunning, and there is no need for additional decorations. It was set up to a standard beyond my expectations. I cannot believe how smoothly the whole process and evening went; I cannot find a single fault. Thank you for making my 40th so perfect and fun!
A great restaurant and bar tucked down a small side street. You walk into a great outside space then on into the restaurant itself. It's a large area with great decor.
We have visited a few times now but have only managed to eat from the brunch menu! The food is great and of good quality ingredients. They offer a varied brunch menu to suit all tastes including some healthy or naughty dishes; chia bowl or a brioche bun with a burger patty for example.
During our only evening visit for drinks we found the atmosphere to be enjoyable. The drinks on offer are extensive with well made cocktails.
The staff are friendly and have extensive memory retention when taking your order. The guy who served us most recently handled 8 of us with ease.
I couldn’t recommend this place more. My Wife and I were early and Michael looked after us, took care of our cases - we were travelling - had great banter, polite just all round amazing service.
Food is amazing, atmosphere really nice, cocktail’s delicious.
Seriously, if you’re in Richmond and want somewhere great to eat and drink with fab service, look no further than here. Thanks for making our stay so welcome.
My favourite breakfast at Richmond! Pancakes, vegan plate and Eggs Benedict…all of them are amazing! If you be there after breakfast once we had a chance to try their burgers , they worth to try too!💫
We had the most wonderful experience at No 1 Duke Street at lunch today. The food, drinks, service & attention to detail was excellent. The ambiance & decor amazing. Thank you Giovanni & Faustas! We can’t wait to come back again! Highly, highly recommended.
I enjoy coming here regularly. Every time the food is delicious and the drinks are good. The staff are always super lovely and helpful. The atmosphere of the venue is also really nice.
have a wonderful time here, specially with their brunches! book in advance, of course. they have a big table in the middle, could seat about 12-16 ppl, which you'd envy sitting at it once you enter the venue. great for a big get-together.
Fantastic place. We had a great experience dining here this week. The restaurant has an excellent atmosphere, high quality food and very professional attentive staff.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a chilled out, luxury dining experience in Richmond. The cocktail selection was a particular highlight! We will definitely be back soon.
Have visited twice in Winter then in Summer. Dined inside in Winter outside this Summer. Booked again has enjoyed so much & wanted to eat outside. Food & wine recommended & staff really helpful. Would be helpful to be able to book outside tables on-line and not advisable to dine with others in music area, as you wouldn't be able to hear each other but definitely will be booking again.
Cute place hidden behind the main street of Richmond. Food and service was good. Wait for food much shorter than the app said so very happy! Was a bit annoyed as told one minute have to order via app and then finding didn't need to download app after all but winner in the end as meant could leave as soon as we were finished without having to try and chase someone for the bill. Will be keeping the app for my next visit
