The Shaftesbury - Richmond-upon-Thames - Photo album

After being closed for 3 weeks of renovation, I am delighted to be back in ‘The Shaftesbury’ for a re-opening lunch. They’ve done an amazing job of updating and improving the style, layout and decoration of the pub whilst maintaining it’s charm and character. It still has that unique country pub atm
A delightfully presented pub with many local beers and good food options. Lots of good places to sit and relax with a great service and an English feel. Best on a sunny London day but also plenty of space inside for when the rain comes around.
Lovely back garden and all around nicely decorated pub with really amazing staff. Drinks are reasonably priced as well as delicious. Sunday roast was good!
My family and I went to the Shaftesbury back in February when our son played rugby (Under 7's) at London Welsh and had a fantastic meal therfore it seemed only fitting to call in for lunch whilst we were down. It did not disappoint. My youngest son (age 2) as well as my oldest (age 7) were made to f
Excellent food, great drinks and very friendly staff. We have been coming to The Shaftesbury for a few years and the recent makeover looks terrific, (especially the garden). Food tasted freshly prepared and we didn't have to wait long for it. The only negatives - which weren't major issues - is that
The food was delicious and service exemplary. Karolina’s welcoming smile and Jack’s service are always wonderful. It is like going from home to home. Best pub I’ve been in, ever! But the pub is only as good as the staff. It is a pub we always recommend and take family and friends to.
Really excellent food. Not had a bad dish yet and I've eaten here three times. Really nice atmosphere too.
Love it. Being disabled the staff are lovely. I don't know all their names but a lovely pint or 3 of Guinness kindly bought to my table by Oola and all the others.Thank you all so much. It means a lot to me. Cheers 🍻. Allan.
I love this pub. The welcome is friendly, the service pristine, and the food is absolutely delicious. Oh, yeah, and wear loose clothing - the portions are generous! I can recommend the Shaftsbury burger and the crispy beer battered haddock (particularly good mushy peas).
Smashing place. Good service. Good fish & chips. Excellent beer 👌
Great outdoor space for summer. Food was great - service even better.
Great pub, popped in before our visit to Kew Gardens, clean, friendly staff and nice food. TV screens all around with World Cup on!
Impeccable hospitality and a generous Christmas showcase. Always a good night at the Shafts - big thanks to Carolina, Fraser and our server for the great service. See you all again soon x
The Shaftesbury has always been really good pub but having recently undergone a refurb and menu change it’s now amazing! It’s the staff, however, that make this pub what it is. Karolina has done such a stellar job! A special mention also to Jack, who always provides an excellent service along with h
Beautiful decor in both the pub and garden... Beautiful atmosphere, lovely furniture to enjoy a meal or drink Had the mac'n'chesse for a small bite and it was so tasty! Definitely a pub worth visiting in Richmond Down the road from Kew gardens
