Fantastic place to taste some of the British cuisine.
Pro:
1. The place is big with many tables, and near the train/tube/bus station.
2. Besides the a la carte menu, they also offer a traditional one with a drink included (highly recommended).
Trust me, the portions are huge and wallet friendly.
3. Screens everywhere for sports fans, and also love music during the weekend
Cons:
1. Very popular place, so to find a table can be challenging
Overall, if you are in Richmond and need some fuel after a long walk in the park. This is the place
Got the Steak & Ale pie and the Mushroom & Chicken pie. Both were delicious. It was fairly quiet after 2 in the afternoon. We'll be back.
Lovely pub with a lots of tables and seat and nice little beer garden. Got a lot of TVs to show live sports. Great atmosphere and lovely bar snacks to go with a beer!
Absolutely loved this pub , I ordered the fish and chips , I ordered the large portion, and I got two large fish fillets, service was friendly and quick , I will definitely be going there again , I've long thought that you often get good honest food and service in pubs , the food is just as tasty as some fancy restaurants , but with out the price sometimes.
No cash at the moment, so could only afford a starter: SQUID....and it was brilliant - attentively cooked, well presented and with a cracking sweet 🌶️ dip. 😀 The staff are very friendly too - outstanding service. Great choice of alcohol-free beers, too. 5*
I am always happy to be able to pop in for a pint of ale in this traditional pub. Good selection including guest beer plus reliable London Pride and Doom Bar.
Lovely place, close to the station, and great lunch deals. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the kind staff.
Food was pretty good, no complaints there. The beer (Timothy Taylor's Landlord) however was as flat as anything, the head was made up of large bubbles which didn't last more than two drinks out of the glass. A decent head on this beer should last to the bottom of the glass more or less.
Just undergone a complete refurb. Warm and inviting retaining its traditional pub feel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a sandwich and chips which were well prepared and surprisingly filling. A nice stoping place when passing through or shopping. I'm sure we'll be back when next in Richmond. Well done
The Railway Tavern has an amazing vibe! The atmosphere is welcoming, and you'll find friendly and helpful people all around. The staff is super kind and always ready to assist. It's the kind of place where you feel right at home, surrounded by good vibes and great company. If you're looking for a pub with a fantastic ambiance and a staff that goes the extra mile, The Railway Tavern N16 is the place to be!
Very good, large pub, conveniently next to Richmond Station. Excellent choice of beers, decent food and live sport on TV.
Ideally situated near the tube station and close to shops, this is a friendly pub with a great choice of drinks and food, expertly served by efficient staff. Well worth visiting. They have several screens for major sporting events. Average prices for this area.
Honestly, coziest pub I have ever been to. Beautiful interiors, comfortable seats, brilliant food, good prices. This place is a gem!
Very cute pub which has a great atmosphere - especially for rugby and football! Food is amazing too.
Darren (staff member) - very positive review: Went for lunch on a Friday, and ordered a meal and drink. Upon seeing the price as shown by the card reader, I saw that I had been slightly overcharged (not by much) and was told the menu price had changed. I was ok with it and paid anyway. While eating, a very friendly Irish member of staff called Darren came up to me, was very apologetic, and told me he would charge me the cheaper price I thought I would be paying and would give me a very sizeable discount (approaching 20%) for the (not so big) trouble. I was very grateful for the care and attention Darren paid to me on my visit and hope he gets well rewarded for going above and beyond to look after his customers! Thanks for making it a very enjoyable experience!
Came here with some pals to watch the footy - good vibes and good staff definitely will be returning.
Shout out to billy and Darren for their service
Located right next to Richmond tube and overground Station, it's a great place to have a pitstop whilst travelling or to spend time watching the various sports they have on including rugby. Great pub menu, dog friendly, a small outdoor area that's probably best suited to smokers as it's so small. Clean toilets and no sticky tables!
Beautiful pub the food was 5 star decent so nice and service was great at the bar first time for me their and will definitely be going back lentil cottage pie to die for see you soon!
