As its name suggests this is a nautical themed pub right down to the names on the loos - Pirates and Mermaids!
The decor is traditional, dark wood with some stained glass windows and is on two levels. There are a few TV screens for watching sports.

This is a nice cosy pub. The staff were really welcoming and the service was quick. We ordered fish and chips. The fish was really tasty but the batter was a but soggy. I got a decent portion of chips but my husbands portion was significantly smaller (I'd say 50% less than mine). I'd go back for dri

We held a birthday celebration in the upper deck (the rooms upstairs) at the Old Ship. Everything was great, from the initial communication to the actual event. Remarkable service , good chicken wings , and comfortable upstairs seating for a proper sports viewing (we watched a premier league game) . Great experience, will definitely come back when in Richmond.

Nice pub. It's an old one. They have a small beer garden, courtyard. Dogs are allowed here. Good selection of drinks. It's a Young's establishment. Restrooms are om the ground floor.
The team @ the old ship (Ian, Holly and Laura) hosted us for an afternoon watching the England v Fiji rugby match. The were very helpful and polite. Great service team.
I first came in here about 30 years ago when it was a Young's pub with great food. I don't actually know if it is still a Young's pub but the drinks and food are still of a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the prices aren't excessive for this area. Happy to visit agai
Really lovely pub with great food and service. They even offered me Mayo to go with my roast, which i usually find hard to ask, as bar staff usually make me feel uncomfortable. Not here. I definitely recommend it.

Not only was the meat pie top notch but the house special Bloody Mary was fantastic! Best I have had since being in UK. You will enjoy this old and lovely pub!
