Richmond Vault is my wife and I's favourite restaurant! Great food, great atmosphere and great staff.
We stumbled across the Vault in May and have been back multiple times since, including on both of our birthdays. The location is perfect; it's right in the heart of Richmond Upon Thames, yet it feels hidden away from the hustle and bustle as it's below ground level.
We love the atmosphere; it's cosy, romantic, full of personality and lively with laughter and music. The music seems carefully selected to compliment the environment and they have live music every Friday (I think).
The food is amazing! The menu has enough choice but is not overwhelmingly large. They offer their own mix of Mediterranean dishes; including lamb, chicken, pizza and more... the lamb kofta is my favourite! The starters and desserts are also well selected, and they cater well for the vegetarian and health conscious.
The staff are wonderful, very accommodating and all smiles. They remember your face and make you feel at home.
I honestly have nothing bad to say about Richmond Vault!
Accidentally discovered this place on the New Year's eve! We didn't have a table booked in advance, but they managed to find one for us and we had amazing dinner there! :) Very friendly staff, amazing food and good atmosphere. The Homemade Tiramisu is to die for � Well worth to visit! �
Won a three course meal for two and took my lovely wife for our 24th wedfing anniversary, had a fantastic meal the place has a great atmosphere, very attentive staff excellent food and drinks , We will definately be back with ftiends friends, Highly reccomended!!���
Amazing hidden gem which is quite easy to miss being in a cellar. Great beer and food and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. Would highly recommend if you are local.
This is the perfect venue for the most friendly service (everyone - manager, waitress, bar staff etc.), massive portions of home-cooked, irresistible food and excellent drinks. I have lived in London for 18 months and this is the best place I have been in my time - will be back again. Thank you for breaking the mould with generic, subpar London service.
Love this place! It's one of my favourite places with excellent service, fantastic beer selection and amazing food! Dinner and drinks on a Friday with some live music to enjoy, highly recommend! ��

Highly recommend this place! Awesome decor and atmosphere. Really lovely food at good prices. And the service was brilliant; I bought a box of cupcakes as it was for a birthday and they arranged them on a nice plate and provided candles and sung happy birthday to him - very thoughtful! Will definitely be returning! �
The Second time I’ve been to this place and again it was a fabulous evening. Not only is the food superb but as an avid real ale fan they know how to keep their beer. Went on a Saturday night and the place was rammed packed but then it should be. If you’re in the Richmond area you should pop in and support them as there’s not many places around like this. A mixture of great food and of course great beer!
Christmas day. London doesn't work, no trains, no buses, no restaurants. This place was an oasis in the desert. Especially Mimmo, his kindness and warmness let us felt like home. Delicious food. Baci � da Roma�.
Visited today for my 30th Birthday with friends. I had reserved a table that was separate from the rest of the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend.

Perfect pub vibe, excellent food and service with a world-wide variety of beer.
Had a great lunch here yesterday. Food was wonderful. Burger and ribs( recommend the ribs). Service was fab. We Will definatley be returning.

I came across this wonderful little place back in January, I love it and have been back often, even had my birthday bash here this June. Their food, drink and attention is brilliant.
Loved it! the food was really nice had the Salmon which was one of the specials tasted & looked good -not very often I eat everything on the plate! Staff very friendly & welcoming :-)
It was always good when it was the Pig's Ear, still the same... great food & spectacular drunk selection, all in a great 'brasserie' atmosphere! Try it!

Came in for a burger and a beer, left with belly full of happiness and joy! Can't beat the pizzas either - or their excellent service. Nice recent revamp with delicious decor and a fine young man called Charles behind the bar.

My partner and I, who are slightly difficult foodies, regularly enjoy dining at the Richmond Vault. We love their delicious menu, fun atmosphere and super friendly staff.
Recently, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was in desperate need of a last minute venue for my birthday party.
In less than a week, the staff at the Richmond Vault helped us pull off a successful birthday party for just under 20 people. Along with the manager, the floor manager, and the chef, they cornered off an area of the restaurant downstairs just for us, put together a super delicious and dietary diverse canapé buffet-style menu (at a very reasonable price per head), allowed us to bring in a birthday cake from an outside caterer, were attentive to and served our guests well all evening, managed the open tab seamlessly and professionally... and all of this with friendliness and smiles from A to Z! These guys went the extra mile!
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner out in Richmond or for anyone looking for a place to have a small party of any kind.

Great pub. Always love drinking here. Friendly landlord and good beer selection including some around the world bottled beer. Best of all 2for1 happy hour mid week!

We were absolutely gutted when The Vault had to close due to flooding but finally this gorgeous hideaway in Richmond has reopened and it looks more splendid and cosy than ever! With an array of craft beer available both on tap and in their fridges and apparently some pretty nice cocktails and wine, this place is perfect for date nights, business meetings and nights out with your mates alike. Family friendly during the earlier hours of the day too. Staff are helpful and personable. Tasters of beers are available as are schooners (for me a must when partaking of a sour). Check out their restaurant. Make this cute Richmond local your home from home.
Cocktails were lovely and the staff were attentive. My steak was very fatty and not very tasty unfortunately, although it was cooked as requested.
There was a TV by our table that the staff kept putting random things on YouTube to show on (brewery tours, psychedelic patterns as two examples) and I'm not sure I got the point of it
Absolutely brilliant local restaurants in our area! We enjoyed a lot for our 2nd Anniversary, with a special delicious dessert as well. Much appreciated !
Had a great experience at Richmond Vault. The tables are given sufficient space, we received really attentive service and the food exceeded our expectations. We had the ribs and a burger. Such good value for money with a solid rack of ribs and fresh, fluffy, crispy fries.
The refit looks really cool, the vibe is good, the staff were attentive now get to the important stuff the food!
The ribs, let's talk about the ribs, you need to order the ribs. The other food looks more than cool from what we saw... Right, now for the beers. You've got craft beers 🍺 and there are some mainstream, the coffee is great and and there are cocktails too!

Interesting "cellar/vault" Excellent selection of beers and cocktails. Lovely service and the food was good. The meze plate was plenty. The special dish of the week open ravioli was 10 out of 10 👍
If you want the best meal of your life then this is the spot! My favourite dish is the full rack of ribs 😋 so tender and juicy. The drinks are also amazing and the service and vibes are unmatched.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Richmond Vault, and I must say that it was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in the door, I was struck by the elegant ambiance and warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The menu was full of delicious and creative dishes, and I had a hard time choosing what to order because everything sounded so amazing. Eventually, I settled on the Kabab Orfali, and I'm so glad I did. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was stunning. Each bite was a true delight for my taste buds.
But the food wasn't the only thing that impressed me. The service was top-notch, with our server providing attentive and friendly service throughout the meal.

In addition to the food and service, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was simply delightful. The décor was tasteful and elegant, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere.

We really enjoyed the nice atmosphere. A compact variety of food with a great quality was very to our liking. After a little while live music got played and it was a nice combination between a restaurant and a bar. Our waiter was very kind and we had a lot of fun with him. A recommendation from our side. Would recommend to reserve more time for getting dinner.
Nice relaxed Sunday afternoon meal here. We both had the BBQ ribs and thought they were great.
Service was friendly and the place has a nice feel to it. The list of different beers looked great, though we stuck to soft drinks after a heavy night the night before!
This place has a different focus than it did when it was the Pigs Ears. But still has menu items with pig inspiration. Triple big burger and pig and cheese platter (previously you had pig platters and not as large variety of food). There are burgers, pizza, and many specials. I always go to the bar first and enjoy the current craft beers on tap. The drinks variety is huge and delicious. Some beers can be quite expensive. There are also some vegetarian options. Good service and staff. Great underground atmosphere with dim lighting. Really pleasant!
Very good place to eat and drink. This was my second visit here. A limited menu but this is good as the options available were all top quality. So difficult to decide what you want to eat and drink. Each time I go there I try something different and I haven't been disappointed yet.
We walked in with a rather large group including toddlers and were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was great and served us promptly, serving the children food first, which was super helpful. The food was great and their local beer offering was delicious.
The decoration is beautiful and while it was raining, the whole place was very welcoming and full of light.

We recently held our wedding party at Richmond Vault and we were treated to such a memorable day and night. Liz expertly oversaw the planning of the day and made the whole experience completely stress free. We had exclusive hire of the whole venue and invited around 70 guests. The staff were absolutely fantastic and made it a party to remember. We had very tasty canapes and dinner prepared by the excellent chef at Richmond Vault, Gerald, and our guests were kept very happy with the great selection of wines, craft beers, spirits, and delicious cocktails, served by very friendly and fun staff - Armand, Eric, Zach, Kingsley to name just a few. We can't thank the whole team at Richmond Vault enough for making the occasion so special. This really is a great, unique place in Richmond for parties, but also for regular drinks and meals. I'll be a new regular customer! Thank you RV team :)
It was lovely coming back to Richmond Vault after it was closed for refurbishment. The staff, food, and drinks were as lovely and exquisite as always. Its my personal go-to spot whenever friends and family visit and want to go out to the best gastropub in Richmond!
