I took my parents and granny here for a meal after a recommendation. There is a nice selection of food, The steak and kidney pie is amazing, stuffed full and very tasty. Portions were a good size.
Staff are polite and friendly.
The room although basic had a warm atmosphere. ( I would say it's more for the 50+) Quiet and relaxed.
Although possibly slightly overpriced, you get what you pay for and this place ticks the boxes to the right generation.
Everyone enjoyed their meals and emptied their plates.
We all had dessert and left feeling comfortably full with compliments for each meal. We will definitely be returning 😊
If you are looking for somewhere to take mum and dad or granny and grandad for a meal, then this is the place.
Great food and fantastic staff who had a good laugh with us. We felt really welcome and nothing was to much trouble. Food was excellent and great portions. Highly recommended.
10/10 good hearty home cooked style food. Gave the dogs some water and a treat.

I had chicken with a leak n cream sauce with chips n veg. Sauce was rather thin, nice chips n veg. Just thought almost £15 was a bit expensive.
We did enjoy our meal and would recommend.

Lovely friendly folks offering home cooking with freshly cooked meals. Reasonably priced. It's very popular so book in advance.
First time in this establishment, and it didn't disappoint. We were presented with a hearty roast lamb with all the trimmings, braised steak and steak pie and chips followed by delicious dessert, consisting of Rubarth and custard, apple pie and sticky toffee pudding and ice cream, all served by very pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend. Can't wait to go again, would recommend booking a table !!
