We often have a drive from Manchester to Rhos On Sea just to come here for chips & fish, we have never been disappointed and the staff in the restaurant are lovely, we have been coming for years, the best fish & chips we have ever tasted and the mushy peas are delicious too.
Superb fish and chips as always. Must recommend to more people it's a smashing little cafe and perfectly cooked fish every time. Thanks again for lovely food and such friendly service from the waitresses. We'll be back...and back again!
Our favourite fish & chips in the area and usually our first stop on a Friday night. Excellent food and great staff provide excellent service.
We don't get across to Rhos on Sea very often, probably about four times a year, but the one constant is the quality of Galleon and their fish and chips. It never varies from excellent.

Visited on 15June 2014 we had a lovely meal .The fish was absolutely beautiful and I am not a fish lover.The restaurant was very clean with well kept toilets and the staff were very pleasant.All in all we really enjoyed our meal and would recommend a visit if in the area

Absolutely amazing chippy. Fantastic portion sizes and the quality was top notch. Hard to come by a proper chippy now and this was an absolute find! My lad had kids fish and chips too, which was a great size and would probably do most adults π

High quality sausage and chips. Fish was a big greasy but overall really good. There were no large fish but the regular was big enough.

This takeaway is pretty much the only one I found open on a Monday and I'm glad it was because the food was lovely.
Fish and chips were cooked fresh, not to greasy and a fair sized portion too.
Had a kids fish for our pup and that in itself was a good sized fish.
Would happily use again when we are in the area.
Visited Galleon chippy on the recommendation of a friend. I wasn't disappointed. We ordered fish and chips cooked to order. The fish π was very fresh and the batter was light and crispy. The chips π was good too tasted really nice not greasy at all. They have a good selection of battered fish. Haddock Plaice and Cod. We tried the cod. This chippy is is a short walk from Rhos on sea beach π. If you're visiting the area and fancy freshly cooked fish and chips pop in. If I'm there again I definitely will. πππππ»
We arrived here just before closing, and the young man serving us was exceptional. Was looking forward to fish & chips, but as they were due to close, he provided us the next best thing. We had the fish cake and the kids had sausage. Will have to go again, better timing and get the fish
I had cod and chips on Saturday 1 July. The chips were cooked to perfection. I Had 4 cod and chips and one sausage and chips. 1 of the cod was perfect. I guess the other 3 had been in the hot holder. But still very nice indeed. The batter was light and not stodgy and the chips were thick, just like how they should be from a chippy, but unfortunately other chips shops don't know how to make real old fashioned chips any more. Fish and chips from the Galleon in my opinion was delicious and how fish and chips should be done everywhere. Cooked to perfection.
The fish and chips here are beautiful. The fish had a light batter that wasn't greasy. Fish flaked off easily, didn't even need a knife. Nice chips too
This must be the best chippie in North Wales . Fish are beautiful and white the batter is not too thick just right and the chips are crispy on the outside and soft inside absolutely delicious . Staff are very friendly and courteous.

The man frying the fish is always mauling the fish with his hands,and goes off handling other items including money. Please don't keep touching the fish I always end up leaving without my fish as all I can think about is what germs are being transferred to the fish.
The chips and peas are lovely and the staff are very nice, hopefully one day I can get to try the fish.
There were a lot of people queuing inside and outside the shop, but the service was quick, friendly, and efficient.
My husband and I had fish and chips. The fish was well cooked with a nice crispy batter, and the chips were nice, too. We enjoyed our meal.

In my opinion the best fish and chips for miles, I travel from Bangor to get my favourite treat and it's definitely worth the trip.
Every time we go there the service and food is excellent. We buy the food and take it back to our motorhome to eat. It is always still hot when we get back. Nothing is too much trouble eg they split the food in two for us as one has salt and vinegar and one vinegar. We drive 60 miles for the sea and the chips.
Big queue of people waiting . Very good fish chips and peas from the galleon , as usual . Prices are a little high but plenty of choice and absolutely worth the money .
Always stop here when we are in Rhos .

It's a shame the eat in part has closed the menu has changed I preferred the old menu the fish and chips delicious though.
