First things first: you have to order at the bar.
And then the magic begins: the little helpers in the kitchen do their job brilliantly: Lamb and mint pie, delicious. Cottage pie, delightful.
If you are ever in Rhayader, you should definitely go there.
It has a vegetarian menu. Brilliant. Probably the first pub in town to do so. Huge portions, friendly staff and great beer. All at a very good price. What more could you ask for in Rhayader?
Lovely meal, I had jacket potato with cheese and bacon, daughter had a vegan cottage pie and she thoroughly enjoyed it
Plenty of places in the town to eat but this is my favourite
Food was excellent quality and tasty, service perfect. In all 10/10
Did not eat here but a friendly local pub very cheap drinks our round £6.20 the same at home is £9.40 chatty locals made it a pleasant experience
Absolutely lovely place to stay. Central to everything we wanted. Flat was spotlessly clean. Lovely touches with welsh cakes and croissants. Fresh milk in the fridge plus toiletries. Our 2nd visit.
Great place to stay if your exploring mid Wales, very friendly, good parking for motorcycles and a fab breakfast ..
Impromptu stop off, Great pub food and friendly staff.
I popped to Rhayader with my elderly Mam to visit my brother and get a bite to eat. We arrived at 2.45pm to find one cafe shut, the other only serving cakes and one pub closed. We walked past this pub as it said they only served till 2.45pm and tried the pub next door. Gratefully, 2 men outside told
Had a few meals here recently and can't fault them at all. Portion size is amazing and good prices too. Friendly pub and definitely recommend. Had gammon last time. Was so tasty. Will be back very soon.
Popped in for a pint with the kid. Tidy pint, nice barstaff. Would go back.
Enjoyed a lovely evening meal here with some new friends. I had the seafood platter, which was just lovely. And the staff were very accommodating and welcoming
Good selection of beers.
Lovely food
Had a nice meal in the bar, staff were very friendly, even brought some water over for dog. Little things mean alot. Would definitely go again, next time we are up that way
I had the Quorn chicken pie, I think it was the nicest chicken and mushroom pie I have ever had and that includes everything from before I was vegetarian. My wife had the battered cod and chips and she loved it. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great with a log burner in t
Friendly service and always a nice pint and good food.
We had dinner here on the way home from a trip to South Wales. It was the night of the Euros final so as busy as was allowed (COVID) but they had one table left so we grabbed it quick. The food was really good, service excellent, staff and customers really friendly. I would definitely recommend it.
Great food. Friendly staff. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.
