Reviews Harry's Coffee House

After being told by 3 friends, One of them being my self confessed coffee snob boss, that Harry's was the best place in town for coffee I thought hubby and I would give it a try. On a wet Wednesday morning the welcome we received was warm and friendly, the cakes looked scrumptious, and the smell of coffee divine. All I can say after consuming two yummy slices of toast and a gorgeous cappuccino is that everything I had been told was spot on. It surely is the best coffee shop in town

Visited Harry's yesterday and have got to say what a lovely little place. Service and staff exceptional. Really go out their way to make u feel at home and comfortable x when asked what drink we would like we responded to say we would like a drink with our meals. We was then offered water while we wait for our meals. This was lovely and something I've never come across before. Food was lovely a prices very reasonable.

Adam made our afternoon tea extra special. The food was great, with a well thought out menu and Adam catered fantastically for a gluten free group member. A vintage theme ran throughout the afternoon tea, with specially chosen linen used, in keeping with a 1950's theme. The assorted open sandwiches had a variety of traditional and contemporary fillings and accompaniments, each flavour well thought out. The sweet selection was fantastic. Freshly baked scones, served with clotted cream and jam, biscuits, lemon drizzle cake, gluten free brownies; all perfectly baked. The selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and prosecco meant everyone was well catered for. Thanks Adam for all the effort you and your team put in to the afternoon. It was greatly appreciated. Such a little golden nugget. Introduced to Harry's by Diana Simpson a few weeks ago and find it hard to resist their Bacon butties and good coffee. Really must make room for scones next

Best coffee in UK! Don’t understand why other coffee places can’t make a cappuccino as good as this, if I lived in Retford this would be my no1 stop.

A well set out and tasteful cafe and coffee shop. This is a must visit stop any time you visit Retford. Parking is usually OK on the streets opposite but limited to 1 hour, but other parking in the vicinity is possible. Clean and tidy place, with themed plates and cups and nice loos. Give it a try if you are in town.

Friendly welcoming atmosphere. The menu is varied and caters for all tastes at extremely reasonable prices. Happy to swap fillings around for you - just ask. Their cakes and scones are delicious 😋 recommend the 🫐 blueberry scones! They have a huge selection of teas and the coffees are top notch. Lovely relaxing cafe. Dogs are also made welcome with water provided upon request. With 3 steps leading into the seating area wheelchair access would be difficult. On street parking outside on a first come first served basis ( large pay and display car park nearby)

Great customer service. Young lads working really hard to make everyone feel welcome. Blueberry scones were delicious. Great to be supporting a local business. Spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic little coffee shop. Lovely coffee and cake served by friendly staff. Most of all though dogs were not only welcomed but given water bowls and made a fuss off unlike several other cafes in the area that looked at me in disgust when I asked if dogs were allowed in, so well done Harry's for your warm welcome to both myself, my husband and our little dachshund.

Absolutely cracking coffee. You can keep your coffee chain swill. These guys make great tasting coffee in a really nice coffee shop. The service was excellent and couldn't have been more friendly. If you are in Retford and you want a coffee, get it from here. Getting it from anywhere else is a waste of your time and your money. First time back today for a while as not been in the area because of the pandemic. Pleased to say that the above review still stands. Service was as good as I remember and the coffee was once again superb.

Visited Harry’s yesterday with friends. We all ordered full breakfast which quickly arrived served by the efficient and friendly staff. I’m sure they were smiling behind the masks! The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented, with lovely coffee too. Greatly enjoyed by all of us despite Covid restrictions.

Called in for the first time this morning. Lovely little coffee bar. Enjoyed a latte and a delicious gluten free chocolate brownie. My details were taken promptly for track and trace purposes and all Covid 19 safety measures were followed very closely. Thank you. 😄

We looked for the best coffee in town, and found it at Harry's. Along with the best coffee and walnut cake, made by the world's best coffee and walnut cake baker. A little bit gutted that we're just passing through because I'd love to be a regular here. If you're local they do a great loyalty card too.

Been many many times always so helpful and pleasant. Have gone with 2yr old granddaughter same again books, crayons, and toys provided, they chat to her and accept that they can be a bit loud at times but I have never felt uncomfortable with her. We now have to deal with a nut allergy they have been brilliant doing their very best ensuring it's as safe as humanly possible. We recognise that there is always a risk BUT they minimise it allowing us to enjoy time together. Keep up the fantastic work and food.
