The Plough is in a lovely location in Leigh. Out side the front and sides are plenty of tables and umbrellas to sit at. Inside there is a lovely bar area on one side and the restaurant in the other. We got the around 4:30pm or so and they were still serving lunch. My wife had the roast pork, while I had an all day breakfast (which was exactly what I was longing for all day). Both were delicious and the perfect sizes. For dessert the wife had honeycomb ice cream with toffee sauce and I had triple chocolate and Bailey's sponge pudding with a jug of hot custard. Amazing! The service was fantastic from the second we walked through the door to when we left, everyone was friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable for a Sunday lunch. We'll definitely be back.

Haven't been here for some years because we generally despair over the poor cuisine available in pubs of our country. This place is definitely the exception! The Sunday roast was exceptional and a credit to the Plough and all who work there.

This is a lovely traditional country pub set on a crossroad with country views in all directions. There were people there with classic cars, motorcycles, cyclelists, and walkers, coming and leaving in all directions. It was a beautiful sunny day with plenty of outside shaded seating just outside the front of the pub or in the garden to the side. We didn't eat, so we could not rate the food this time, although there were plenty of customers enjoying food. There was a choice of around 4 different ales, some locally produced, usual lagers, and the staff all seemed very friendly and enjoyed getting to know you, even though we are not locals. There is a lovely churchyard and church just across from the pub, nice walks leading from this with easy routes to follow. It will be nice to visit again soon and spend a little more time enjoying the pubs surroundings.

9 of us arrived without booking for lunch on Tuesday. We were made to feel welcome and a table was provided immediately orders taken for drinks and food. The food was great as were the drinks and the prices reasonable. Our car group will be back but next time we will let you know we ate coming Thanks to all staff

Fantastic food 😍 so tasty! The cheesecakes are THE BEST THING EVER! (Especially cookie dough) Such a cute friendly local pub. Mates have come from Essex and North London for a nice chill out session of JENGA, a pasty and to meet & talk cars. We love it here! Staff are fab and such a nice atmosphere.

A real pub! One that hasn't had the consultants in and therefore retains its charm and hasn't been painted grey. Just a lovely atmosphere full of happy people of all sorts on a warm Friday evening, excellent local beers, good food and games on offer. I wish they could bottle this and share the secret with other pubs that have tried to be trendy, alienated the clientele and destroyed the character evolved over many years. We will be returning on a regular basis. Well done to all the team.

We went for lunch not realising they had an apple pressing festival, it was very busy so we had a burger from the stall outside. We bought 3 bottles of apple juice which were delicious
