We had family visiting over the last few weeks and found this place was our go-to for meals. Everyone enjoyed their meal at each of the 4/5 sittings that we went.
The food is consistently delicious and such a wide range available.
Drinks are cheap compared to most of our locals now.
All the staff are friendly and helpful. The singer was very good, and Tank's quiz was ace.
Definitely recommend and will be returning many, many more times.
Amazing food , the Sunday roast was our first meal . Choose between small medium or large . Very generous portions and really nice to see the meat to us was cooked just the way we like it slow melted in the mouth. We will certainly be going back during our holiday.
Had a couple of pints of offshore lager two adult meals and a chids meal. All were very nice.
Service was friendly and professional at the same time. I would thoroughly recommend the shaft to anyone.

The Shaft Inn offers great value. All the staff are professional and welcoming. We were a party of six and all the meals were fantastic (we all had different things) Great range of beers and ciders as well.
First visit, for their quiz night. Food served til quite late to those present, both resident and non residents. Good selection, friendly staff with quick service.
The only reason for 3 stars on atmosphere was because it was very quiet with only a couple of other customers. Shame because this place is well worth a visit. We had the Sunday lunch.
Lovely food, lovely staff, cant believe I didnt know about this little gem. Had a singer on, who had a beautiful voice. Had a lovely night out with family.
Food is really good! There's an outdoor section for dogs, friendly staff who clearly care about customer service. The views are epic for the balcony, and there is a good selection of drinks.
Arrived onsite yesterday evening for our stay here and was glad to see the Inn still open for food. Lovely staff, great food, good prices. Will definitely be using this again later in the week 😀

Stayed on campsite over Christmas. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and had a good range of drinks at reasonable prices. At the time of visiting, the restaurant was undergoing renovations so they had a street food option on from a food van. We didn't eat but plenty of people were and it seemed they enjoyed it.
The best pizza I've ever had. Reasonable prices as well. Friendly and fun.
