We came here on a friends recommendation, 3 course Sunday lunch for £13! Food is amazing and a good portion too. Have been a few Sundays and this led to us coming on Tuesday for Curry night, which again at £6 a head was bleddy 'ansome! Steak night is also a must, cooked to perfection.
The staff are lovely, so welcoming and friendly and keep your eyes peeled for Maddison the Rottweiler, she's a big softy but hide any tennis balls you may have as she will snaffle them up!! Haha

Fantastic pub - the most friendly and welcoming 'local' I've ever been in (including my own!). Bar staff were polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious. Would highly recommend.
A lovely warm welcoming pub. On arrival was greeted with a cheery welcome from the bar staff. The interior is typical of a Cornish local. We only intended to have a drink but soon decided to eat. The menu has something on to please most people,and the food is of a very high quality. Would i go again. Most definitely.
Been coming here nearly every year for 20 years when we stay in the area and it’s the best pub I’ve ever been to, food and service are excellent, and Nick is a wonderful landlord, every time I leave I can’t wait to get back!

Delicious home cooked food brought to you by friendly staff in a welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Cornwall. Lasagne was excellent, I was so keen to eat it I burnt my mouth. :-)

A brilliant, old school pub. We stayed on Monday night in our camper in the car park (which filled up fast after 6.30pm). There was a live shanty group who do a regular practice session - one of the best I have heard. The staff were great and the homemade lasagne yummy! 😊
Nice atmosphere, well priced, had a starter to share which was good, two roasts both hot with good selection of veg and two meats, and dessert was delicious. Very reasonable for the amount of food we got and plenty for a big eater. Highly recommend!

Wow what a super old school country pub. Looks like it's not changed in years and I mean that in the best way. Really enjoyed stopping in for a quick one. Didn't have an ale but they served a couple. Does food. Friendly service and some chatty patrons. Known for its karaoke nights which I would have loved to have experienced as I've not got a bad voice once I've had a few down me. Recommended 🍻 🍲 🎤 🎶
We visited the Countryman Inn twice last week whilst on holiday in Cornwall. This is a lovely country pub with welcoming staff and friendly regulars.
The food here is delicious and you get enormous portions. Extremely good value for money. They also serve a nice pint.. We had Directors which was very good. We went the second time with my sister and her family. Next time we visit we will definitely call back. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely pub.
Good pub ! Quite isolated above Camborne. Big, and a little old fashioned. Fresh flowers on every table. Good choice of beers - Directors, Old Peculier and others. Food also, but did not try. Clearly a big community resource wirh music and other events every night.
A little off the beaten track, but nice spacious comfortable pub with pool table and karaoke event the day we visited, but most importantly to me it's dog friendly! Even the landlord had a couple of dog biscuits for my dog, he was extremely friendly too! Will try the food next time.
Well worth a visit
Easily the best pub we've been to in the UK hands down, if you are even remotely in the area make sure you come. Nick the publican has been here for 40 (four zero!!!) Years and has built this place into an amazing centre of community and happyness. There are pretty much events on every night and everyone we met was so happy and welcoming, the food was fantastic as well and there are a great selection of beers and other options. We arrived on a Tuesday and were treated to a night of shanties and decided to stay another night for Wednesday to enjoy a band of 20 local musicians playing beautiful Cornish music. Honestly one of the most surreal and amazing experiences we've had while campervaning around Europe and the UK, we really can't thank Nick and his team of lovely staff enough. We are already planning on coming back!!
We've stopped by here to have a quick dinner and a pint. Delicious fresh food, amazing service, good beer and a brilliant atmosphere! And we've been lucky enough to listen to a folk band. Great place.
Love this place! Nick the landlord is so welcoming, the barmaids are friendly and the food is good. A wonderful atmosphere and well worth a visit, especially on the 1st Sunday of every month when the Red River Singers lead the whole pub in a sing-song x
