This chippy is a great choice if you want a standard fish n chips or a doner kebab, the halumi is nice however, tends to be swimming in grease,if you want it to taste fantastic go down the road to Winyates chippy, despite being run by the same family winyates in my opinion tastes a lot better and you don't get that much grease on ya food
Always friendly staff, family chippy with a lot of pride and its show in the food and service. I've been going for years with no plans to change.
The food was hot, tasted nice and packaged well.
Mid week treat - works order handled quick and efficient with a smile.
Food (mostly) cooked fresh - Steak and Ale Pie and Spicy Spuds - yum. Fish Wrap - colleague no complaints (taste the fish not oily batter) so me next time (no batter) etc. definitley 5 stars. collected - don't know how staff can work there as smells are glorious.
what can i say, best fish n chips i had in a very long time, and i sometimes travel for good fish chips around Birmingham. i was in the area and had heard alot about this place online, having won a award for being voted top 10 or 5 chippys in the UK. The owner, is a nice man, very friendly and excellent customer service. He made me a fresh cod, while i waited and chips. Best cod n chips by far, noy oily or greasy, nice n cripsy, batter is bang on and pure white cod fillet, you know your getting real fresh cod. 10/10. keep up the good work. hope to be back again very soon. (there aint no place in Birmingham that even comes close to your cod n chips)
Consistently good and always friendly.
There are probably a dozen or more fish and chip shops closer to home but this is well worth the extra time to get to. Both fish and chips are pretty much always good and no matter how busy they are (and it gets very busy), the staff are always friendly. It's no surprise that it's won awards for being the best in the Midlands.
Expect a bit of a wait, especially at the weekend - it's worth it.
If there was a 1000 star rating I would give them it. Their staff are always super friendly, service is quick. Food is always top notch and cooked to perfection every single time. The fact they have a board up telling you what potatoes the chips are made from and the name of the boat and area their fish has come from is a fantastic novelty to have.
I’ve lived in Redditch for 9 years and I’ve never had anything but first class food from either of the shops. Also every single member of staff always has a smile and seem to have nice banter between themselves they even say hello out side of work if they recognise you.
Note to the owner ... I’m a Black Country lad, would you consider trialing Black Country battered ‘orange’ chips maybe a couple of evenings a week . I’m sure word would really get around, there are 2 in Bromsgrove that I know of.
Keep up the good work

We have started to use this chippy since being recommended to us, the staff are very polite and friendly the food is always very good. we placed a big order for collection because we had to wait a little while gave us a free bottle of tango offered to carry our food to the car. The food was great again and very good value for money. Would highly recommend
Openly admit, considering we ordered large fish n chips (though all very tasty) we were all disappointed with the size of the fish, they were quiet small.
Granted, Covid may gave played a part but feel we should have been charged for normal fish n chips. However, you just don't know until you get to where your eating and open packages.
The 4 of us did joke by saying, if this is large is normal sticklebacks🤣
Hopefully just a minor glitch as we will be using again as was undeniably very tasty
