We have lived on Oakenshaw for 10 yrs and always avoided this pub. We went once about 7 yrs ago and never went back. We decided to give it a try as it has new owners and we're glad we did. We went on Sunday evening and chose 3 courses off the menu all having something different. It was amazing food cooked to perfection and generous portions. All the staff were really friendly and couldn't help enough. Would recommend anyone to go. It's so nice knowing we've got a nice restaurant in walking distance .Simply lovely
This place is a lovely place we had lunch today the service was second to none food was lovely good selection of veg and meats were tender and all was hot and plenty given . The waitress who greeted us when we got there was very helpful and friendly we had not been to this pub for years and have to say it lovely decor and outside garden is lovely too . Thank you we will come back again defo.
The Sunday carvery is very tasty. Considering is only £6.95 it’s very good value for money. You get a big portion of meat as well. The veg is hot and the gravy is lush!! Will defiantly be going again. Recommend booking in advance. Totally recommend this place.
Had my daughters christening here 2 weeks ago. Everybody had a wonderful day, food was beautifully made, pub was decorated lovely (from decor we provided), and all staff were friendly and welcoming.. Would highly recommend A*****
It’s an awesome pub with lovely, friendly staff who do their very best to make you feel welcomed. The food is amazing and very well priced with very little waiting time.

Went to the duck inn for the first time on sunday, the food was a carvery, all home made veg, steamed to a lovely texture and a huge range. All piping hot. There was also a main menu which my husband ordered a mixed grill which he said was 5*. Even though the restraunt area was extremely busy and we didnt book, we was quickly found a table and service was speedy. The decor was beautiful and atmosphere was homely and warm. My 2 year old daughter loved it and was made a huge fuss of. So glad we stumbled across this place while out shopping. We will be returning! X

Since the new management The Duck Inn has made an amazing improvement, All the food has been yummy for me Especially the puddings! And staff are lovely, couldn't be more attentive x

This is a fantastic pub- we booked a table for 6 of us and we arrived early. This was not a problem and we were really welcomed by the staff. We had a great round table which we all liked. No problems ordering the drinks- fabulous beer Butty Bach, large white wine and lemonades. The food was brilliant- fantastic seafood platter ( fish, fish cake, chips peas, bread and butter and curry sauce- really tasty. A good hunters chicken, fish and chips, and scampi and chips- well cooked and great value. Total bill about £95 - reasonable price for a fantastic time. Easy journey to Redditch Theatre. We will be back. Nice pub, good atmosphere, great staff , friendly people. Wholeheartedly recommend the Duck Inn. Thank you so much.
Excellent food at good prices. Staff were friendly and provided colouring to keep our 4 and 3 year old children occupied. Nice beer. Would recommend.
What a gem of a place phoned ahead met by Martin who was very welcoming when we arrived and even provided EHU. What a brilliant night open mic night great singer's even the locals brought own guitars some really talented musicians even the landlord Martin played the drums, food and it's presentation was amazing, a night never to be forgotten. During a visit to this pub we had ordered the 8oz steak this was so nice I could of eaten it again well done to the chef so after eating decided to play pool and yes there is a good pool table the place is kid friendly and has nice people running it its definitely worth the visit
Great place - has got it all. Good food, bar sports, and you can watch sky sports. A great local pub.
Shame I was only a visitor otherwise it would be my local.

Went here tonight for a drink and some pub grub and it was extremely pleasant. My beer, neck oil ipa was really tasty, and our food, two burgers and chips for 12 quid no less, were bloody excellent. All staff polite and helpful. Zero complaints

New to the area and thought we’d pop in for a drink. Very friendly bar staff and the decor is nice and modern. Noticed that the staff were attentive in cleaning the tables, always a good sign! Good pint of Butty Bach was had.
