It was a last minute decision to dine out and a quick call to reserve seats for within half an hour was successful. There was enough parking space, and the environment was quiet and neat. The atmosphere was good. There was provision for children and toddlers and also for Wheelchair users. The staff were friendly, polite, cautious, and caring. There were couple of trainee staffs of which they all did brilliantly in ensuring timely cleaning and quick awareness of what is going on around. A bit of wait for starter to arrived but it was well worth the wait as cleaned up the plates. We had 2 chicken Tenders with Memphis BBO, Cheesy Nachos with Tomato Salsa and Carrot + Cucumber sticks + Sour Cream, Sticky BBQ Pork Ends and Holly Bush Chicken Wings. For Main course, we had Fish Bites + Chips, Peas + Ketchup, Tomato & Cheese Pizza, Slow Roasted Pork Belly and French Fries & Salads as a sides. The dessert was a top notch as we munched through Warm Cookies + Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Brownie + Ice Cream, Vanilla Milkshake and Banafee Milkshake. I'm recommending The Hollybush Inn for patronage.

First time diners, blown away by Sunday lunches. The steak pies for veggies are great, all the trimmings, plus stuffing balls and cauli cheese. The beef dinners were very well received as well, and great puddings to boot! Great service from friendly, professional staff for whom nothing was too much trouble and couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended.

This pub is my new favourite place to eat. It is bright, clean and looks brand new. The staff are polite, friendly and plenty in number. It took me 15 minutes to chose from the menu. There could be more options for vegans, but there is plenty of vegetarian options. The food is amazing. Full of flavour, well presented and made with love. This pub sets the benchmark for good food, served right at a reasonable price.

Nice country pub which is well known for its food, though I haven't tried it. The interior is quite modern, not a traditional 'old man' pub in that respect. When I visited there were two cask ales on: Butty and a Wye Valley brew, both were nice and fresh, well looked after pints. There is also an extensive beer garden. This would be a nice place to drive out to for a meal.

Off the beaten track, lovely gastropub. Recently renovated by the look of it (my first visit). Food very good and excellent service. It looks a wonderful place to sit outside in Summer too.

REPLY TO OWNERS RESPONSE In reply to the owners comment following my review, I can categorically say that that wasn't what your waitress informed us back at the table after she'd spoken to the chef. So perhaps it wasn't made clear to her or she didn't understand and relayed it back incorrectly. Therefore my daughter, who's birthday we were celebrating and who has the gluten allergy, then felt very restricted on what she'd have liked to eat - both for her starter and the main course - due to the incorrect information given from the waitress. -----‐--------------------‐-----------------------------‐---------- We recently enjoyed a lovely meal at The Hollybush. The only concern we had, which was a major concern for us was the limited knowledge that the chef had regarding his gluten free items. My daughter has a gluten/celiac allergy and asked about an item on the menu that stated it was gluten free. After the waitress went to check with the chef to find out whether the gf option was fried in the same oil as the non gf option, the chef told her that it was fried in the same oil as the gluten is burnt off/destroyed by the heat over 180°. Seriously.......had someone taken the chef at his word who had a gf allergy then this would have made them seriously ill. It is known that the temperature needed to destroy gluten are so high that the food would be burned, charred and inedible.....so definitely not at 180°. Please get your chef to take more interest in the options you are claiming to be gf when some of them clearly aren't.

This was my first visit. The place looks to have been recently refurbished and the decor is pleasant. Staff were friendly and service was good. We chose to have two starters as we felt the main courses were overpriced. Crispy duck salad was delicious. Nachos were good too.
