Been wanting to visit here for ages and chose a quiet Monday afternoon to drop by. Really nice pub with plenty of seating in the bar, restaurant, marquee or outside. Every member of staff we saw spoke to us and was polite and the sever was really genuine. Got our order correct also. Drinks tasted delicious (maybe because it was my first whisky in a year since giving birth). The food came and was superb. Nicely presented, fresh and REALLY tasty. We just had a sharing platter and some small plates to test it out and was not disappointed at all. I drive past here regularly and will certainly be back soon

First time here, lovely location, as picture shows. Decided on the burger, my wife had the Asian duck salad, it was so spicy we had to ask for something else, so she had the sea bass. Very helpful staff, I suppose we should have asked about spices before ordering. No extra charge for changing, many thanks. We will return soon.

Absolutely beautiful food! Service was top notch too. I had the wild mushroom risotto - it was delicious, I also had eyes bigger than my belly and had cheesy garlic bread (which the staff very kindly put in a take away box for me to take home)! For pudding we shared an oreo cheesecake which was lovely too! 😍 110% recommend.

Thunderbolts and lightning 🌩 I booked the marquee for my 50th birthday party thinking it would be fabulous July weather, lovely and hot. Literally as I set foot in the pub there was a massive thunder crack and lightning, plus torrential rain; no lights, no tills, no power and no Internet, you couldn't make it up 😆 The staff were amazing, they kept everyone informed of what was happening and the situation in the kitchen - 38 guests were fed and watered without hardly any delays. The entire staff team were brilliant- pleasant, polite, helpful and calm under the madness at the start of the evening. The food was good. The marquee was a great space. All in all it was a great night - thank you Why Not Team Xxxx

We didn’t eat so I cannot add a review for that, but the beer options were great and the reception we had at the bar and indeed from the staff around the beer garden was spot on, lovely place and a lovely view too!

We went to the Why Not for the first time on Sunday, 6 August and were extremely impressed. The food was great, very reasonably priced and we had first class customer service from James and his colleagues. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food and service. Food was fresh and everything was delicious. Our waitress was great, really polite and friendly. Picked this place as a 'random new place to try' but will definitely be returning after such a great meal.

Went to The Why Not with my Dad & Mom for my 50th birthday. We were all very impressed with the friendly service and the food was excellent. Mum had the Sea Bass and she said it was the best meal she'd had out in a long time. To me, you won't get a better thumbs up than that. Highly recommend. Sorry the pics are of partly eaten portions.

Lovely atmosphere, food delicious and so fresh. Greek salad was missing olives, but wasn't so important.

Lovely refurbished so much bigger than it used to be, lovely location with open views over fields on the back garden seating area .food was delicious and textures were fab enjoyed all my 3 courses , I chose gluten free my starter was the chicken satay which was devine , and my main was the seabass , although the fish was very thin it didn't dissapoint as the flavours were fab.. . The whole experience was perfect, the service was spot on & the waitresses were 100 % attentive at all times, cheerful , & caring nature. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant as I believe I saw one in there , there is a main seating area in the main part, lots of out door seating area over looking the fields & far views out the back, and a huge conservatory off the side of the main building which is a marquee, but it's done out inside extremely lovely which seems to gives it that conservatory feel . Parking is quite big at the rear of the main building. Will definitely be making this our go to place for special meal time Outings for myself & my husband, and our son & we will & have already recommended to family & friends, & will certainly be asking them to join us in the near future. Loved every minute of our time together there , its not very often we get to go anywhere because of my health condition. It would be even more perfect if the menu was also dairy free & gluten free options, as I'm very restricted on my diet , no gluten, no dairy, sugar & additives & preservatives very much more , those though being the main ones. There is only so much you can expect from eating out so some of my restrictions have to be ignored & suffer the consequences, but if these were available more wide spread more people would dine out . Thank you to all the staff that served us that evening it was so relaxing & extremely enjoyable. 😊.

First meal out in over a year due to Covid and The Why Not did not disappoint. Their outdoor seating area was cosily lit, heated and added to the warm atmosphere. Service was very prompt, friendly and professional. Considering all of the customers are on table service only, all staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious, my partner had the gammon and I had the "Why Not Burger". All cooked to perfection and the burger was obviously home made. Especially impressed by their 'slaw, a component I usually throw away, however their chef's fresh take on a usually neglected condiment surely did hit the spot. Their halloumi fries were also cooked well and complemented the meals perfectly. Massive thanks to all at The Why Not and we will see you again soon.

This is the third time of visiting, (belated farther day lunch) and I was very impressed. The previous two occasions I have had the amazing ploughman's lunch....outstanding value and difficult to finish! Great variety, lovely fresh carved ham although I would rather swap the pork pie (you already get a sausage roll) for a slightly bigger cheese portion TBH. Beer is fab...Timothy Taylor, Wye Valley HPA and my favourite Purity Gold....with many others as well. Anyway, lunch last Saturday was an amazing pork chop, with smashed potatoes with chorizo and brocoli. Great churos and Nutella cream to finish with a great coffee!! Definitely a place to revisit again and again! Great walks along the ridge and down to Alcester for those who want to make a day of it, or just sit and admire the endless views from the garden......or smart interior if its raining 🌧 😀!
