This is where my lovely wife and I met 29 August 1977 at about 22:00.
The outside is just about as it was, the inside has changed a little, it's now a restaurant instead of a pub that held weekend discos (Monday was a bank holiday).
The food we had (this recent visit) was very nice, generous portions and good quality, the table service was really good, the young man looking after us was very friendly and professional.
We enjoyed our visit down memory lane.
Thank you Cross and Bowling Green
Excellent restaurant, although a quiet Monday evening, atmosphere was great. AK really looked after us, and his father the chef cooked us a perfect meal, the traditional way.
Fresh ingredients, delicious food, you'll really have to try it to appreciate.
Fabulous little surprise. Only stopped as a quiet truck stop across the road and now I'm hooked. Need to get in early as can be busy. Pleasant staff and great selection of Indian food plus the bar is full of friendly truckers for a good chat.
Very nice food and pub is good if you want a few drink before/after. Sometimes can be a small wait even at quieter time but other then that very nice place .
Good food . very friendly staff. Fair prices .this was our first visit so didn't know what to expect.will definitely go again.
7 of us went for a birthday, very accommodating, service great and food exceptional. No longer wait for either drinks or food. Definitely go again.
Bit out the way from everything. Middle of nowhere, that saying the food was spot on joined onto a real local pub serving great ales. Would recommend from the normal curry houses as an alternative.
Great place to celebrate a bowls away win. Food ok and the Cobra goes down better than Jack Grealish to win a penalty against the Baggies. Boing Boing!
Ordered a takeaway from the Rajput Indian restaurant and it was the best Indian food I have tasted for years. I won't be going anywhere else for a while.
Food excellent there again next week would highly recommended
