8 of us went for a meal from the Christmas menu and it was lovely, food was fantastic and all freshly cooked, James couldn't do enough for us very polite and helpful, definitely recommend and very reasonable priced, the pub itself is very nicely decorated �
Just like to say we've been to the Tavern for meals and every time we have had a lovely meal, plenty of it and unbeatable prices. On all occasions we've been, we were looked after by Katie who was outstanding and looked after us all absolutely star performer. There's only one little thing I didn't like on the mixed grill was the burger, just not to my taste it didn't taste like a proper burger should. Keep doing what your doing its very good and we will be back very shortly
Haven't been in the Tavern for about 20 years, I always thought it was a shame when it was shut for so long. Decided to try it for tea yesterday and I'm really glad we did. Friendly staff, the place has been fitted out beautifully. Clean, nice decor, decent priced pints!! Food was lovely, piping hot, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked and huge portions!! Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend!!
Went with friends last night for a meal, the food was excellent with good sized portions, it is very reasonably priced as were the drinks, we had prosecco on the ' fizz Friday 'and were amazed at the price, staff were friendly and attentive and could not do enough for us. The Tavern has been totally renovated and the decor is really nice. So pleased to have somewhere local to go now for a lovely meal.
we called ahead for today to place our order and all of us really enjoyed our food that much we will be back at xmas {end of term hols }, food was excellent and staff really helpful and friendly well worth 5 stars x
Went along with family and friends to this beautiful venue today for the Sunday carvery and was blown away by the the whole experience !
This place is absolutely beautiful. The whole building is immaculate and the toilets are pristine.
The carvery was delicious and very reasonably priced as were the drinks.
The staff made us incredibly welcome and I can not praise the service enough.
All in all a fantastic afternoon .. very happy and can't wait to go back .. very very highly recommended !

Had carvery and it was lovely , excellent value , the head waiter James was lovely , will definitely be going again , really nice to find somewhere that does home cooked meals and doesn’t charge silly prices

Haven't been in here for years but went last week for a meal with family and it was very, very good. I had the chicken vindaloo and it was hot enough that you knew you were eating a curry but not so hot that you couldn't enjoy the flavour! Decent serve with rice and chips and not expensive. If you haven't been since it re-opened, it is definitely worth a visit. James (restaurant manger I think) will look after you well too.
Just back from a family party at The Tavern.... Excellent venue. The function room is lovely, and well set out. The food was very good and plenty of it, and the staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again for a party... Thank you for having us.
I dont normally write reviews for anything but an hour ago I just ate in the Lingdale Tavern and felt I had to say something! I'm a pretty good cook and hardly ever eat out, but at 2 pm I thought id go out for a quick lunch and let someone else make it. I ordered a half parmo for £5.................. yes £5! I can honestly say it was the tastiest and nicest parmo ive had in a long time from anywhere! It came with hand-cut proper chips and a dressed side salad. It was big enough to satisfy and fill a hungry-nosed 15 stone bloke like me! As I enjoyed it that much I thought............ credit must be given! As I was leaving the chef was just leaving too so I actually gave him a bit of praise to his face ! There are lots of different dishes on the menu all at a low price! I couldnt recommend the standard of what I had highly enough! Its a no-brainer.................... give it a try!!!
The food and the service were excellent everything fresh cooked high quality and piping hot even the young chef in there came out to check it was to our liking ! James the waiter looks after you well !! The total re vamp of the pub is stunning my only down side was the wine choice could be better as Jack Rabbit is not good if you enjoy a glass of wine !!!
Absolutely fantastic meal to be honest can't say much else best parmo we ever had the price was matching lovely friendly staff can't knock it highly recommend it wont be long before we go back that's for sure

Family of 4 for Sunday dinner, with drinks and we spent less than £30. Bargain and the food was lovely.
What a lovely carvery all food piping hot and you could help your self to Yorkshire pudding three people and three drinks all for under 20 pounds how about that
