Please Sir! Can I have some more? 😀 Dined here yesterday (Sunday) and it definitely wasn't gruel! Staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Food was superb and plentiful. Fish cooked to perfection. Fabulous. We ordered a small cod to take out for our hound, which involved a member of staff going across the street to the take-out section. She did this with a smile and brought it to our table. Good old-fashioned excellent customer service. Thank you. Looking forward to returning 5*

Really good haddock chips and peas. Fish in particular was brilliant. Would recommend and would send my friends here!

First time we've used the place , massive queue, which was a pain but there's usually a good reason for that . Yes , the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time . Passed another place around the corner , no one in . Keep up the good work Olivers , we'll deffo be back .

Great fish and chips but not cheap. Expect to pay around £80 for family of 5 with tea. Decent atmosphere and service.

Sausage wrapped in bacon then battered. Waiting for my delicious heart attack. Really good chippy. Lots of competition and this place is fighting it out at the top. Clean and tidy, friendly staff, tasty food.

Superb fish and chips. They don't do much else and maybe the price is a bit high for Redcar but it is definitely worth to pay a visit. The people are super friendly and helpful with the baby and the buggy. I went there during the week at lunch time and place filled up rather quickly, maybe at weekends it needs to be booked. Opposite the restaurant there is the take away though, which might be worth a visit in sunny days.

Everybody says sea breeze is the best in redcar but I disagree, Oliver's is much better and less greasy.

Excellent food, not greasy and batter is light and crispy. The staff were all so friendly and smiley despite it being a very busy hot day and they must have been boiling cooking in the warm weather. Great value for money. Was worth the little wait in the queue.

Review for the take-away, not the restaurant - regular cod, small chips and a curry splash. Chips were the best part of the dish. The fish tasted good, but was quite firm for cod which made me think it was either old (ie; not fresh) or had been cooked too long. I don't know, I'm not an expert, it tasted fine but the texture was out 🤷🏻‍♂️ Curry might have been the weakest part, didn't have much of a flavour too it compared to what I'm used to, and no kick at all, but then again I've been spoiled by the legendary YK Chows curry sauce so I think many places I go to suffer from that downfall. Value was okay. Not the cheapest in Redcar. Actually, it might be the priciest.. but the difference is pennies rather than pounds. Overall, decent value. I'd probably have given many places 3 stars for the food, but Oliver's feel more premium because of the big, solid box and lid you get your food in. Don't know anywhere else that packages take-out food as well as these guys so that alone is worth an extra 🌟

Lovely tasty fish and chips cooked the traditional way. Great price too. Must try if in redcar.
