Lovely experience dining at The Coconut Tree in Reading. Everything from the food, the drinks and the staff was fantastic. Our servers Csenge and Samitha especially went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. They patiently explained the menu to us and suggested dishes to try. The food wa
Went in with friends. Service was great. We ordered a large variety of dishes. Cocktails were superb. Food was good only dishes that wasn’t great is the kuthu roti. Sorry we didn’t enjoy that. Also the chicken wings was a bit tough. Needed more cooking time. Other than that the whole experience was
This place is a gem of a restaurant in Reading. I really loved the variety of dishes on offer and everything I ate here was super tasty. The cashew curry and Sri Lankan cake dessert were highlights for me. I hadn’t tried Sri Lankan food before coming here but I am definitely going to visit this plac
Very welcoming, with a good vibe and great staff. Very accommodating. The food was amazing, definately good value for money. Music was on point!
Fast service. Great tasting food. Nice cocktails. Prices are okay. Small sized portions but filling
This place should be absolutely heaving! If you like Asian food, Indian food, African food, this is the place. Its sort of like a tapas sharing kinda thing, with something for all tastes (vegans too). Tasty, fresh and prompt. Took my adult son there on a Sunday afternoon and we both thoroughly enjoy
Amazing restaurant, great atmosphere and the staff are so enthusiastic about what they do and are passionate about the food served. Fantastic cocktails, excellent food and very good value for money. Good kids options too. Chetan was fantastic, an asset to the company!
Superb dimly lit service was everything but dim. The atmospheric sensory joys of smells, sight, taste and texture. A great place to feel satisfied with an elephant cocktail vessel to top it off.
Got the hot butter cuttlefish and kothu! The food was awesome. Would recommend that they give the Chilli paste with the fried rice. Also if they can increase the portion sizes a bit more it would be awesome.
Amazing food as always, great music, fast service. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend this or any of their branches.
We were looking for something different to the Indian, Chinese and Italian. Found this restaurant that cooks authentic Sri Lankan (Ceylon) cuisine in Reading. They do not use MSG or chemicals. The whole menu is cooked using natural ingredients and spices. If you do not like a little bit of spicy foo
Great decor and friendly service. Very tasty food with decent vegan options and flavours. Awesome cocotails menu as well. Mine was served in an elephant which was extra cool.
The staff were very nice, and very welcoming. The food was nice, and had a lot of flavours. The kotthu was disappointing however, and barely had any chicken in it. But the rest of the food was very nice, and as I had expected. The food had a nice kick that elevated the flavours. The restaurant was
Wow, thank you The Coconut Tree! We had such a fantastic meal, blown away by the quality and tastiness of the food we had and would highly recommend trying! The restaurant has an informal fun vibe, lovely staff (thanks Libby) and some great cocktails to go along with your meal. Highlights for us wer
First time trying out Sri Lankan cuisine, and i loved it! Everything we’ve order was scrumptious! I was really delighted that we chose this restaurant to have a quick dinner. The servings were enough for two. Aside from that, the interior is very tropical and warm to be in. Will recommend this resta
Really tasty filling food!! I mean wow this was jammed packed with gorgeous smells and aromas and so tasty 😋 was exactly what I was looking for after donating plasma down the road. I had the black pork belly and the chicken and cheese kotthu, some local Sri Lankan dish. It was the perfect amount o
Lovely new addition to the Reading restaurant scene! My favourites were the squid, the fat sister and the black pork. The hopper was also delicious! I’ve given this a 5 star, even though it wasn’t quite that but it has great potential, so as feedback for the restaurant, this would’ve made it a 5 sta
Easy to book, great accessible menu including Vegan and GF symbols, staff were lovely and welcoming. Egg Hoppers were one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten. Goat Curry was spiced but needed a bit more salt for those at our table, although the meat was beautifully tender. Rotis were crispy b
