I saw lots of bad reviews and have to say the chips were delicious, the same the large or rather massive fish x 2. I am not a big fan of mashed peas but the one we bought in Mr Cod was very good. Overall very good experience.
Excellent masala fish and spot on chicken burgers. I love their mayonnaise tastes always better than any other chippies. Plenty to park around in front and side streets to get your order. However avoid to be a regular eater as fast food kills.
Usually a good chippy. But as with all chippies, if you catch 'em just before they change the oil you might be a little peeved. But to be honest, in all the years We been using 'em, that's only happened twice to us!
Best chicken/fish & chips shop in Reading & best branch of Mr Cod. Consistency is always there with everything, everything always spot on. Generous portion sizes too with chips and staff are always friendly.
Affordable , fast and efficient. More importantly they are always there for you when you need them and are open during most bank holidays. Quality fish and chips for the price.
Oddly, since 2011, I have lived at 5 different addresses, all within half a mile of a Mr Cod. This one is my favourite! The dippers are great and the chilli sauce, while not the hottest, has a lovely minty edge to it which compliments chicken and chips really well. The dippers on the Oxford Rd/Wanta
Excellent Masala Fish + Chips, a regular here as I find they are reasonable in price and decent space to park around the area. I would recommend their chilli sauce pots, they're great.

This is the best MR COD in reading with maybe Shinfield Road a close 2nd. Chunky chips, chicken burger amazing, very tasty.
Good quality is good for what it is. Service and staff are friendly and speed of food delivery is good. Compared to the London road store, ahead in leaps and bounds.
