Only had drinks, bartender was a top lad, decent pint of Guinness, nice little garden. Quiet inside but outside gets busy around the school rush (carpark full of parents) but not the pubs fault so no negative marks. I've been told the food is banging (Thai cuisine)

New management, very much improved great atmosphere good food, So this is are 3rd visit to the bell and bottle, 2nd under new management, we came to try the Sunday lunch as we had been to London the night before so couldn't be bothered to cook at home, first thing to say is the place has changed alot since our last visit, all the tables and chairs have been replaced with new tables and chairs, new bar stools just this alone has dramatically improved the atmosphere. It is also evident that there is gradual work taking place in the garden to make it a more inviting area, regarding the food, I had beef roast and my partner had ½ roast chicken, I have to say the food was very tasty and we will definitely come back again 😀.

Good honest local independent pub serving the local community and real ale lovers from afar - and home of The Kennet Morris Men. And our favourite barmaid has returned for our Monday visit.

The Thai food here is incredible. Also a proper pub really popular with the locals and it shows. Not enough places like this around anymore. Great.

Nice pub. Pop in there at lunchtime for a cider while working in the area.

Recently under new management, I understand, when I visited in August 2018, so still a work in progress at the time, I think. However it was friendly, with good (if a little expensive) beer. Games room at the rear seemed quite popular. On fine days you can sit out the front and look at the village green. Dog friendly, with a jar of doggy treats on the bar to keep your canine companion happy.

Friday evening very busy but staff coping well. Good selection of beers with real ales. Good old fashioned local pub that for once it seems locals use it instead of sitting empty. No complaints

A great improvement over the last time I came here a year ago. Friendly bar staff, an open fire and a very clean and tidy local pub with a local buzz without feeling too cliquey. Good range of well kept real ale as well as the usuals. Dog friendly too!

Used to be my local 14yrs ago before moving. It says something about the pub that I still pop in occasionally when passing by.There have been a few managers over the years but it is always friendly and has a few real ales(which change regularly)Definitely has that local feel which I miss where I have moved.

Is what it is. A proper boozer. Pool table, darts board, big screen showing sports and a garden. Lager is reasonably priced and the bar lady serving me was cheerful and helpful. Nice little garden at the back.
