Generally good Fish and Chips, but portions vary to the point of being small sometimes (infequently though). Kids Cod and Chips always takes additional time as not normally waiting under heat lamps.
Piping hot chips and plenty of them, high quality big cod serving. Excellent. Cash only.

It’s all about the fish — serving a fairly decent range — and as a consequence seems to deal only in the freshest of the stuff. It really shows in the flaky, moist and sweet-tasting cod that gently steams within a light but crunchy batter. The chips are very decent too, the guy that serves always
Great fish and chip shop, nice chunky chips, good portions, salt snd vinegar them yourself nice packaging. Only gripe is cash only ? Come on this is 2022 not 1982 otherwise 5 star review.
I love this place so much. Wherever I've lived in Reading I travel here just for their curry sauce 😋 I don't want to mark down but should mention they don't take card payments and their waiting bench is really uncomfortable. As I always get chicken I have to wait so a permanent thin cushion spanning
Always good, freshly cooked and yes sometimes there maybe a wait for chip or fish but FRESH! 😋😋 a busy chip shop but they never let the quality slip keeping it fresh by cooking regularly instead of having it sitting around.
Had a bit of a wait as it was tea time..but it definitely worth it..I had kids fish and chips and to be honest it was mahoosive..would highly recommend..( think the queue was a clue!)

Freshly cooked, crisp battered cod and haddock... Kids/OAP lunchtime deals. Friendly staff. The best fish n' chip shop for miles!
Great fish and chips just a shame you have to wait quite a while on Friday and Saturday nights. Maybe more staff would be good 😄👌👍
