Such a lovely place, great for kids but also for adults. There is a big area where children can play and see the animals. There is also a café where you can buy something to drink or to eat, and a farm shop with plenty of local products. I would definitely recommend a visit!
Have been visiting Lockey Farm for years with the family and its so nice to see how excited the little ones get when we get here.
They do some really nice food and definitely one of the best cups of tea I've had in a while.
We had a lovely day as usual, the animals seem to be really happy and really well looked after and they are so friendly and good with the visitors.
Keep up the good work guys and thank you for all the days of fun we have had at Lockey over the years.
We took a 2yr old who loved the animals and the play equipment she was big enough to play on. The cafe/ bar staff were friendly and obliging and the prices for food and drink were fair. Lovely to have a community resource which doesn't charge entry!
Had a great time at Lockey Farm today. Lots to entertain children (bouncy pillow, play area, sandpit) on a sunny day. Food was good, coffee was good. A bit shabby in places (some broken play area things etc) but considering it’s free I can’t complain. If you’re heading here just to see the animals you won’t find too many, but for somewhere to let the kids run off a bit of energy for a few hours it’s great.
Great farm shop on the 'rustic' end of the spectrum. Decent sized car park which may suffer from puddles after rain. Well equipped shop with butchers, grocers, cheese area as well as alcohol section. There is also a cafe but we didn't visit. Worth a visit if you live in the locality.
Nice day out with kids. Happy to feed lamb and donkey which are quite tamb and look like being well taken care of as general condition quite good, looks quite 'clean'. Kids touch them mildly and giggles. Also see some livestock. Playground with plenty facilities. Bought coffee in cafe which is soso. Not try food there so no comments. Toilet is not great but acceptable at least dry floor and not smelly. Jumping pillow are great fun but mind easy twist ankle if go too far.
Beautiful farm shop with authentic farming experience, live farm animals and lots of space for kids to play. I am sure it's a lovely experience for kids and families.
Lovely staff with happy faces really enjoyed the visit and their food. Compare to lots of other farm shops I've been to, their food and pricing are fair and fresh. Highly recommended to anyone.
This is a great place to bring the kids. The website has a reasonably accurate description of what is on offer. We visited in October during an overcast and mild day.
The jumping pillows, go carts and toy tractors were not out, but they only charged us £2 to go in.
What is there?
There is a free car park, which has the farm shop and tea room as well as the farm entrance. This is locked off-peak and you pay at the tea room. (CARE! The decking is extremely slippery when wet!)
The tea room is good and staff excellent. The facilities are clean and there is a disabled toilet with baby change.
A lovely play area and café, with sandpit, jumping pillows and assault course style play alongside the animals... a little run down in places, but that offer a certain charm! Cafe was good too!
Great service and a lovely selection most of it local. I came away with several purchases. Would return.
Very nice place to hangout in an afternoon.
You can feel the fresh air away from town.
Excellent little farm and shop, improvements being made all the time, children had hours of fun on the golf, bouncing pillow, play park, loved the house and the animals are gorgeous and very friendly
Even in winter this place is a great place to visit.. even if you just want to pet the animals. Cafe was open and busy... farm shop and gift shop also open.
Great play areas for children which are more functional in the summer.
When these are fully open there is a charge for entry which is fair enough.
